I flew back into Sacramento International Airport (SMF) from LAX the other day as flying direct back to Red Bluff was way more expensive, My friend picked me up at the airport and wanted to get dinner at this restaurant she knew. Cool, I'll pay since you picked me up. Wing's Restaurant looks like a real locals place. We were joined by a friend of her's so there's 3 of us. She ordered a bunch of food to go as we decided it was better to eat at her house. Fine with me. We ordered the Singapore Noodles, Beef Chow Fun and General's Chicken and the hot braised chicken wings which we re-plated cause it came with the sauce and garnish separate. The noodles dishes were good and still very hot when we got back to her house. I liked the curry taste of the Singapore noodles and the chow fun had that wok seared flavor like a charbroiled burger. The general's chicken was pretty standard, I've had better. But the wings, holy moly, those were good with that sauce over them. Still crisp skin and sauce was perfect. I think the skin would not be as crispy if they sauced the wings at the restaurant, cause they might get soggy in the car. We all like the food and told my friend we can go there again if she picks me up at the airport again!

I work nearby and have been meaning to try this place for sometime. The place looks like it's been around since the 70's or earlier. I came by around 2pm on MLK day so there wasn't anyone inside beside the host. The place could use an interior update if they wish to increase the dining in customers. I ordered takeout and it was ready in a few minutes. The egg rolls were very tasty with the sweet and sour sauce. The General's chicken was an unexpected highlight! And I'm a keen judge after eating many many General's chicken over many decades. It had real respectable cuts of chicken that were lightly breaded and stir fried and tasted amazing the the sweet and tangy sauce. I've had so many General's chicken that had tiny pieces of chicken meat with too much breading. This delightfully was not the case. I will certainly be back to try other menu items. Highly recommend!

Wings review Want to start the review by apologizing. I came to eat here and the service met all service needs, I even was given my hot tea for free. I left a note to express my dissatisfaction with my server's behavior before leaving which was out of line for me to do and immaturely handled. Service doesn't always have to be a dynamic social interaction like I might want it to be. I am sorry, and I thank you for the excellent meal. The food came quick, my kungpao chicken was tender and had nice flavor, the chow mein wasn't greasy and the vegetables were well integrated. Its flavor was mild but scallion and soy flavor came through. The spring roll was especially good, crispy with a sour, gingery note in the filling that balanced a dip in the sweet sauce. Also, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful in my opinion. I took a moment to draw the entry way because I liked it so much. The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, and the food is tasty! Sorry to use this review platform as a place to apologize.

I came here for lunch with my uncle and aunt. It's a small place and only one or two parallel parking places on J Street so we had to park in front of a home on a nearby street. The food was good with generous portions. We were the only customers and the waiter was attentive and our food came out promptly. Not much ambiance. Just a row of booths along the wall with the kitchen on the other side.

House Special Chow Mien is the best. This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. I always order to go and parking can always be found.

Background: Visiting family in Sacramento and stumbled upon this place on my way back to SF. I eat Chinese food pretty much every other day from various spots in SF as my workplace gives me a dinner allowance. This has enabled me to experience the food of at least over 50+ Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area. Verdict: Wings is my top 2 favorite Chinese restaurant. The food speaks for itself. It is true in taste and it's really a hidden gem (for now). Doesn't hurt that the service is really top-notch. I was treated respectively and had a great dining experience (can't say this is common to other Chinese spots!). I am going to this spot anytime I'm in Sac.

Wings restaurant is such a great place to eat, I came in almost closing time and the young gentleman who took my order was such a good sport about taking my huge order ... For one,.. one person... He made me feel comfortable as well as welcoming to ask "how many days will all this food last... One person? He chuckled and responded with" alot of days." That's the plan I said in return. Lol ... Great place to get some amazing mouth watering grub for the soul.. well and my thighs. LolParking: I am not too fond of downtown Sacramento but this is right off of J Street and it was so easy to get to that location

Food was okay for what I ordered shrimp with veggies. But the rice plate version was very small. They filled the bigger side of the styrofoam box with so much rice and then just put the food on the left side with the smaller sections. With DoorDash costs this dish was $20 ($14 on its own) but I was still hungry afterwards. A bit of a bummer. I asked for chopsticks because I'm Asian and it's weird to not eat with them. No chopsticks. There was no sauce for the egg roll. :-( I want to add some positives because I just went to my old go-to Chinese restaurant by my house and they must have changed owners because the food is no longer good. It made me think of what I liked about Wings and it's worth another try. Wings portions were small for the rice plate but the food was really fresh! That's important for all Chinese food but especially shrimp! So I'll give it another chance and order entree size dish and see how they do with portions.

Ive lived in East Sacramento for about three years now and I often come to the spot when I need a quick dinner. Decent spot and portions. 6/10 customer service. Sketchy inside. I order kung pao tofu, no rice it's always bad quality. The tofu is tasty and they offer a variety of fresh vegetables.

I have been a bit hesitant to try Wing's based on some of the reviews but I'm here to say I LOVED MY DINNER! I'm not a vegetarian but got veggie chow fun and salt and pepper tofu. Let me say, these were some of the tastiest dishes I've had from a Chinese restaurant in a very long time. While I can't speak to anything other than these two items, both were made beautifully, fresh and delicious - complete with that well-seasoned wok flavor we foodies adore on the chow fun. Veggies were plentiful and tasty but the star was the S&P tofu. Light, slightly crisp exterior with fried onions and jalapeño slices, I could not stop eating these morsels. Thumbs up to the chef who knew to "vent" the container to maintain the tofu's crisp coating. I am ashamed of myself for taking so long to try Wing's, especially since I live so close by. I will definitely go back to try other dishes but for now, this veggie dynamic duo is going to be my regular go-to order. I hope you'll join me in supporting this small, local family-owned restaurant. Frankly, the interior is a little lacking and I probably wouldn't dine in but my experience, the food coming out of their kitchen more than makes up for the decor. Please give them a try and if you like it, tip generously (you should do this even if you order to go) and spread the word on Yelp!

Infested with roaches. The guy cooking the food saw me see the roach and tried to wack it with a spatula and shrugged when he missed. DO NOT EAT HERE.
