Management was the most friendly I’ve experienced in all of San Diego. Excellent service, excellent food, now going to be on a regular rotation if my favorite spots in San Diego.

Really cool little pub I didn't even know existed until 30 minutes before we went there. Now that it's on my grid, I'll definitely be back.Relaxed, neighborhood-casual feel. Not upscale but not a hole in the wall either.Friendly bartender/server and a very interesting beer list.Food is typical pub fare, but quite good.Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

2.5 stars...Stopped in here for a quick bite and beer...the former was fulfilled by cheesy waffle fries, but the latter disappointed due to the limited local beer menu.Fries weren't as crispy as necessary to hold up under the cheese sauce, and the bacon was greasy limpy. Struck out.Ambiance is buckaroo hayloft, prices exceeded food quality, and service was at the counter. We might come back and try something else, but the limited beer menu(in beer Mecca) might dissuade...

Me and our group had lots of fun on trivia night. They have board games, good food, and it was mostly full.

Wanting drinks in the area, we looked around for a spot to grab a bite. I'd heard good things about the Barn but was pleasantly surprised by our visit. First, service was awesome. Super friendly staff. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. They've got seats inside as well as a few on their front patio area. I enjoyed a beer and had a great veggie burger! Bun was on point and the burger itself was juicy and flavorful. The rest of our group got regular burgers with meat and also enjoyed them a lot. The food was really good and I really enjoyed it! Definitely a great meal spot.

I came here a couple of years ago to meet friends for a beer. And I was introduced to a fried pretzel! OMG! I haven't had one since but I haven't stopped thinking about it!So a couple months ago, I invited a couple friends to lunch and they've changed ownership and the way they run things and the menu... Sadly, no more fried pretzels, but they do have some pretty good pretzel bites! We had one experience where the service was less than favorable, but the food was so good, we have it another shot. Better service, but the food is what kept us coming back! Now.... Lilly is our favorite server and, I'm sorry to say I forgot the cook's name, but he's our favorite cook because if it wasn't for his great customer service and tasty burgers, we may never have gone back!I believe the owners are interested in knowing how things are going and I have seen changes that show they care about their reputation!Check out The Barn! Good food, good beer and great people!

Great ambiance. Cool board games. Decent selection of beers. Not necessarily a fan of the "community" rest room, that was different. Everything was very clean. Food came out hot and cooked to order with very little wait time. Bartenders were both VERY accommodating with our group's special request as well as very knowledgeable about all the beers they served. Very kid friendly, though I must admit our group let loose a couple of "F-bombs" before we knew kids were there. Oops? So sorry to that family, like really. Would definitely go back!

Came here for pub trivia. Discovered I'm terrible at pub trivia (sorry team!). The venue itself has a good selection of food when drinks at very reasonable prices. I like reasonable prices, as there are quite a few bars around town that have decided that $25 is a great price for a burger and $20 pretzel bites are the new norm. Which is great --for my diet. During pub trivia, it can get a little loud, but that's only because it was packed with people. Lots of people = increased volume? Some sort of physics, I am certain. However, when I first came in, it was a pretty chill vibe with sports on, and the staff was super friendly. Great place for trivia - but no cheating. I don't like teams who use their phones and get perfect scores. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

The food was really good with a short wait time. A nice wide variety of beer to choose from. Not much seating in or out doors. Pretty quiet place to watch the game.

I liked this place. Wasn't very busy but it could have been the night we went. The fire alarm burger was very delicious. The tots were good but would have been better if more crunchy but good for sure. The drinks were delicious as well. The vegan burger was one of the better ones I've tried. Good flavor. They also have some games as well so a nice little spot to hang out.

Great selection of hard ciders not just beers! And the fish tacos, and the cheese steak are both really delicious!

That was one tasty Kicking Fried Chicken sandwich. My friend got the Fish & Chips - super fresh!! My last dining experience was at a super fancy restaurant in Boston, and the cook at The Barn made them look like EZ Bake chefs. Phenomenal job! Service was awesome too - Brad the Bartender- he'll hook you up! Gave great suggestions for beer & food. Very unassuming venue from the outside - but it's worth the stop!!

I’m visiting San Diego from North Carolina and I wandered around a fair bit looking for a bar to cozy up to. I found The Barn and decided to take a chance. The bartender Brett has been an amazing conversationalist. The kitchen made me a delicious Wild West Burger. And I’m feeling very happy with my decision to come in. Many thanks to the staff and I highly recommend this place.
