China Fun Authentic Noodle House

Not really sure what’s going on with the food here…my boyfriend came in here the other day to order some hot pepper chicken at a “regular” spicy level….what we received was a $20 heart attack in a box.

The entire box of food was extremely deep fried chicken, not sure that there was any chicken left at this point it really was just deep fried grease….paired with an inappropriate amount of peppers.

I definitely would not consider this “authentic” Chinese food, we had to throw it out because it was just upsetting our stomachs, and it wasn’t just the peppers (we both love spicy food) it was the amount of crispy grease on the chicken

The fact they charged nearly $20 for a box of grease and peppers is theft, avoid. Much better Chinese food nearby in the area

This is as close to a home cooked meal. There is no wait time like most place.....when my family pays a visit to San Diego, China fun is their first choice.......

Honestly the best meal I’ve had in a while. Loved the dan dan noodles. The cumin lamb was also delicious. My husband and I loved every dish & we can’t wait to come back!!

This Szechuan style restaurant impressed me a lot, I’m so surprised they don’t get a better review. The whole space is not big but clean and bright. They offer a big menu mainly spicy Szechuan cuisine. We ordered a green pepper live fish, spicy fried chicken cubes and a bowl of Tab Tan noodles. All of them are pretty good, they are also pretty spicy! If you are a spicy lover, you should give this place a try. The service is fast and friendly. I will go back for authentic Szechuan food!

It’s an old school Chinese restaurant with nostalgia feeling, it’s been here for decades! Food from presentation to flavor is good, little bit on the strong side (salt) not super spicy but can request to add more spicy. I really like the atmosphere although the afternoon sun made the inside little warm.

The highlight is rice, crazy comic size bowl of rice, we enjoy every bit of our dinner.

This place is fantastic. I've been here a number of times, and especially like their Dan Dan Mein. We celebrated 2024 Father Day here and everything was in good order. Highly recommended.

Food doesn’t have flavor or seasoning. I ordered House Special Fried Rice and it does taste like nothing, pale and raw food. Even the red sauce tastes like expired. Really terrible food in this place. China Fun Escondido has better seasoning and customer service.

Had lunch at China Fun today (1/27/24) for the first time, with my wife a Chinese national,and her Hong Kongese friend. The Kung Pao Chicken I ordered was excellent with a lot of Chicken. My wife and her friend had a noodle soup and a fish dish to share (food is ordered by the dish family style) which they said was very good too. The orders were all very large - we took about half of what we ordered home with us. The wait staff was very attentive stopping by several times to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything. Plenty of seating and the restaurant appeared very clean. We definitely will be going back here.

I have been a customer of China Fun for many years. Today I had lunch here with some of my friends and our bill totaled up to about $74, and we tipped $10. As we were about to leave, our waitress rudely came up to us with a nasty attitude and complained that we did not tip her enough as she wanted more than a 15% service tip. (Just to note, the service that we received from this waitress was basic and nothing special, such as bringing us our food and refilling our water cups.) Due to this ridiculous behavior that we experienced, my friends and I have decided that we will no longer be dining at this establishment.
