great service great deal great food!
DELICIOUS FOOD AND THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD! OBSESSED!!
Came in for Chilaquiles special. When our plates came, they looked NOTHING like what's pictured in the ad. NO avocado slices, NO red onions, NO real piece of steak. Look at steak pictured compared to what I got! I was very disappointed! Waitress kept saying, "I'm sorry" when I showed her the picture but I still had to pay $25 for the sorry looking plate I got. Sorry. Not a happy camper!!!
Delicious food and drinks. Great customer service. Always keeps me coming back.
First time I was visiting with a friend. The margaritas on the rocks with salt are delicious. The food is tasty, and I can say this is real authentic Mexican food! They practice social distance outdoors with tables; employees use a mask for safety during the 2020 pandemic. ENJOY!
Friendly staff. Great food. Ordered an off menu burrito and they made it perfectly with no hesitation. This is my 4th trip, first review.I'm enjoying the quiet of the covid, but considering the quality and service, any other time this place would be packed.Fast chips and drinks with two kinds of homemade salsa.
We visited once about a month ago itwas good not great but we decided to try it out again they unfortunately when from good to worst experience our server and about 4 other server or bussers where doing shots wit a patron and his wife this guys can drink about 10 shots per server and we stop counting our food came out cold and dried we order * chicken fajitas*caldo de pollo (salty and tough chicken)*menudo (luke warm)* carne tlampiquena (burnt and cold)It is unfortunally we left the place feeling sorry because they have a great atmosphere, music I will upload a copy of my receipt
Always have tasty food and delicious drinks! When the server suggests a pitcher, do it! We regretted ordering single drinks, cause as soon as we finished the margarita, we really wish we'd had more!
The appetizers were great, I mainly went for happy hour and was excited to try their Margarita Flight!!.... it was ok, it could use a little more flavor/kick but hey that's just me. I recommend you order a double shot w/your Margarita Flight! Aside from that the service was great, the set up was great and definitely the food!! ??
45 minutes into our limited 1.5 sit in. They forgot the meat that came on our plates. The service was probably subpar due to "covid". I gave Erika a $50 dollar bill to break and handed me a $20 and 2 $10's. COVID Really does work in in wonders. The only good thing about this brunch was Micahel refilling my mimosas.
The service was friendly; however, the food was not good. I came to this restaurant with a big appetite and could not finish my food. I tried the carne asada taco and was left extremely disappointed. I also tried the Birria taco and the meat was extremely dry. The only thing good about this restaurant is their horchata and green salsa. Horchata drink ($3.5) came in a small cup and refills were one dollar. Overall, pretty expensive for the low quality of the food. First and last time coming here.
If you find yourself on Adams Avenue in Normal Heights, El Zarape is a must stop! One of if not the best Mexican joints in all of San Diego and with a fun atmosphere (even during these Covid times). This place is a must!
Took my family to eat here for the first time. We had a great time and the food was great. The service was perfect. We will go back again. My mother loved the Bria beef and the Chile Relleno. And my father loved the fish taco. The Avocado dip and salsa were excellent.
We had a long wait, but our waiter Christian more than made up for it. He provided EXCELLENT customer service and we had a great night. We are definitely coming back in the future! Highly recommended!
This place is an absolute train wreck the outdoor seating they have added is nice if you can actually get service..the table next to us walked out because the food took so long. We didn't greeted after being sat for 20 mins it took 35 mins to get our first drink which was the margarita flight which was absolutely terrible. The manager came over several times to check on us as they were busy and the food took another 45mins after ordering at which we had been at the restaurant an hour and a half they didn't have enough staff on to serve anyone and the kitchen was really really slow when our food finally did come out the fish was so badly over cooked it wasn't edible I sent it back and did not want to wait another 45mins.I will stick to the taco shop location on park which is really good.
