Dunno what it is about this place, but certain dishes just hit. Beef/chicken kabob combo for one. Gyro dinner. Good for quick quality takeout. Very hole in the wall.

This young lady at this place can easily win the world championship in rudeness and worst customer service. Shame on such an attitude. I won't even go there for free. You don't deserve to be in our neighborhood. I wish I can give this place zero star. It's not only about the food . Respect people before you feed them. Shame on you.

My go-to for yummy Greek in the 92120 area! Their roast chicken is my favorite thing.

Excellent falafel wrap and for a good price too. I'm sad I didn't find it earlier. Ordered online and it was ready when I got there very easy.

Elsa's make great fresh hot authentic food. Great little gem, great value for great food. Gyros are Amazing! The salads are freshly prepared, and the daily specials are great on the pocketbook!! Great customer service!

Just had a great meal delivered via DoorDash. I ordered the kabob combo - beef and chicken. The beef was super tender. Generous portion. Loved the flavor of the tzatziki. Really enjoyed it. Definitely the best DoorDash I've had. Travelled well! Probably even more delicious in person. Will absolutely be ordering from them again.

Food still great! Bunch of specials. Food is like home made! Restroom has been out of service for years , just a heads up!Update: 6/8/22Still amazing food. My favorite is just the traditional cheeseburger meal! Anything you get from this place is a new unfamiliar taste in your watery mouth. I love this place. I moved to north county. When I'm down in San Diego La Mesa. I have to stop by and support the little family kitchen! Thank you Elsa's Kitchen for always making me fresh food! Oh and the chicken sandwhich is a classic! If you are a la mesa native. This is a must spot. The food is extremely fresh , from scratch. It's not like other food places , that make you feel crazy full or bloated. The price and specials they have make it worth every penny. There main is "greek" but honestly everything on the menu is great! Especially the burgers and crispy chicken sandwich! Nice little hidden spot. Very homey feeling. If you are hungry at got the time definitively a cool little joint!

They raised their prices and the meals got smaller plus they are not opened on weekends anymore.

I may have already reviewed this place but I just love it so much. I got the half Greek chicken with fries instead of rice and two tzatziki sauce (to dip the fries) and I am in heaven. The chicken is tender, delicious and flavorful. Their Tzatz sauce has the right amount of garlic. Are used to go to this place all the time when I lived closer I wish I lived close still. And when you go into the store the staff are always friendly

I love the greek salad with gyro or chicken, fresh and fast! Great salad dressing as well.

Food is ok. Nothing spectacular and they charge for any sauce 50 cents for tzatziki. Service was not friendly. Girl working seemed really unhappy and robotic. And kept taking phone orders while I was standing in front of her trying to place an order. $5 for a side of fries is also ridiculous.

People... this spot has the BEST Gyro sandwich/pita I have EVER had! GREAT FLAVOR and they give you lots of meat! They delivered my food nice n hot, the onion rings are nicely salted as well. The Greek w chicken salad is also very nice! This is my go to spot from now on!

The food is consistently outstanding. Chicken moist and tasty. I can, in good faith, highly recommend Elsa's Kitchen
