Abundant dishes, but I think they lack a little more flavor. Excellent service.

It was overall good. The service was a little above average as was the food. I only give five stars to places who are truly exceptional. This place was pretty good. I would eat there again.

I needed to make changes to my reservation several times and they were always very prompt to reply and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again soon.

Ordered the $42 rib-eye and it was the thinnest, least flavorful ribeye I have ever had. I only had 2 bites and gave it back. I'm 50 and this is the first time I've ever done that in my life. I didn't have them replace it because my friend had ordered a steak as well and hers looked the same so I didn't think a second try would be any better. (My friend did not like hers either, although she ate a bit more.) Waitress made me pay for the steak anyway, which at $50 with tip, I thought was horrible service. Decor was nice but dim, the kids liked their Mac and cheese from the kids menu, but I do not recommend the spot.

With so many great choices in San Diego, we would not recommend this place. It was not busy. I think they were training staff so the service was poor. The tiny little cup of clam chowder was good but too small and too expensive. The ceviche was okay but didn't come with enough chips and, like I said, no service to get more. They were out of stock on 3 - 4 beer we selected so there was back and forth on that. Just a poor experience for San Diego. Wasted our time and our money.

I went to this place and was not impressed. For the prices, you'd think they'd have some professional staff but our waiter didn't know anything about the menu. My buddy asked a question about the rib eye order and the waiter took the menu and read the entire selection to us. Obviously he didn't know what the menu said. I also ordered the rib eye. The steak knife was dull and and my steak was cold. The server was slow taking the order but quick with the bill. This place is t worth the price.

Get the lobster bisque instead of the clam chowder

Great spot. We went before a show at the Civic Theater. The food and service were both wonderful!

I had a cesar salad with some type of white fish on top instead of chicken. It was excellent! Also had the housemade cheesecake...so much for my fitness goals!

The cup of clam chowder was delicious I wish it had came in a bowl size. The brussel sprouts were also very tasty. The service was good and staff was nice.

Disappointing, except for the service which was great. Honestly, nothing tasted that great. The clam chowder was just okay - though the best dish we ordered. The crab cakes were horrible - lots of filling and the quality of the crab was poor. The macademia calamari were overly breaded. The bread pudding dessert was also meh. Finally, on the website the menu specifies that happy hour is every night but at the restaurant we were told it was not available on the weekends.

Went on a Friday night as a family before seeing a show at the SD Civic Theater. The service was fine. We might have gotten another drink had the waiter come by again sooner, but it was too late by the time he came back. What took our review from a 3-star to 1-star is the two fish dishes ordered were way overcooked. Rock Fish and Salmon. I would expect this from a non-seafood restaurant, but for one that has "Fish House" in the name I would expect their line cooks to know when to pull fish off the grill. Both were way overcooked and beyond flakey to the point of near rubber. Had we not been in a hurry I would have sent them back. We also had ceviche, and it was fine, but not great. From the other reviews on Yelp it appears the oysters are good here. So perhaps just stay away from any fish that requires cooking and you'll have a better experience.

Service and food were both really great. I ordered the surf and turf and both lobster and steak were great. I appreciate that the meat was cooked perfectly as requested. Great value for downtown!
