Found this place on a search. Never would have otherwise. Glad I stopped in. Good food and good service. Lots of games on multiple TVs on Sunday morning. Loved the side of country potatoes.

This is my second time going here for breakfast and all around great staff and pretty great food. I got the Stuffed French toast last time and loved that, fruit was fresh and you could actually taste cinnamon on the French toast. This time I tried something more savory. I got the California omelette and it was alright, didn't really stand out compared to other places. The side of potatoes however, were some of the best sides I've had. Actual seasoning and came with sautéed peppers and onions. Their more Mexican inspired dishes are where the moneys at, my dad who accompanied me the Chile rellano omelette with the green sauce and he went full man vs food. I definitely want to give their dinner time food a try.

We have been going to Maggie's for years, and I have NEVER had a bad meal there, everything is delicious!!! Burgers, wraps, salads, breakfast, they have everything! I wanted to give a special shout-out to our fabulous waitress Stephanie yesterday. Not only was she friendly and super attentive, but I wanted wings, and they didn't have boneless. She QUICKLY suggested that she could get me their chicken strips and toss them in buffalo sauce and VOILA I had my boneless buffalo chicken and it was AMAZING!!! Above and beyond service! We told her she should ask her manager to add them to the menu and call them Stephanies Saucy Strips!!! And she even offered to toss them in any sauce they had! It is things like this that make Maggie's a fun, affordable and enjoyable place to go for good food, beer and company! Can't wait to go back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Food was pretty good, just had to take a star away cause some of the food did come out cold like the pancakes and waffles. But the fried chicken steak was great with the gravy. We enjoyed the bloody Mary's and mimosas as well! They had fun flavors like raspberry and peach, we'll probably be back if we're around the area

Delish breakfast! This place serves lunch and breakfast, but we were in the mood for brunch! This is a very lowkey cafe in a lowkey location. It's in a mundane strip mall in the middle of Serra mesa. It's definitely the star of the show! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The wait was only 10 minutes because it's not a trendy place like breakfast republic, snooze, etc etc. The food offerings are a mashup of American and Spanish fare. We ordered their breakfast potato skins which did not disappoint! They were topped w scrambled egg, bacon, sour cream, pico de gallo and green onions. I definitely suggest you order these to share and eat while you wait for your food. I had a California omelet with home fries and sourdough. The food is cooked in a "clean" way. You can tell the grease isn't old and that they don't use a ton of grease. It's hard to explain, all I can say is that their food cooking ability is very neat & tidy. I totally appreciate that! Will come again!

The breakfast sandwich was super good. The breakfast burrito was okay. The Irish coffees were tasty and the pins colada milkshake was my favorite

Chicken fried steak and eggs! Every time is very good. I have had their crab cake Benedict as well as their Cobb salad with chicken it is also equally as good. But the chicken fried steak is what we come here for each time. Keep up the good work!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a short wait. I got the South of the Border Benedict which was delicious and we got the elote bites to share for the whole table. The elote bites were my favorite, especially the sauce that comes with it, and my friends seemed to enjoy their food as well. Overall, enjoyed it and would return.

So I ordered through Yelp and realized the restaurant cancelled my order because they are to busy assisting other customers .. which is not good customer service. This place is always busy and I always get my order. This cafe should not be participating in Yelp delivery services if they can't handle the orders or hire staff that knows how to multitask in the restaurant industry.. I have been eating here for a long time but I won't anymore .

Great comfortable and clean restaurant. There was about a 20 minute wait but it was 10-ish a.m. on a Sunday morning. I had the breakfast sandwich, which had bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado on delicious buttery toast. It was served with fried potatoes and a slice of pineapple and cantaloupe - the best cantaloupe I think I've had, honestly. Had a great server as well. Would highly recommend!

Food is awesome, service is great. Bottomless mimosas on Sundays are the best! There aren't many diners like this in the city anymore, this one is a gem.
