Really my first Vietnamese restaurant. I tried the Orange Chicken with white rice. Frog was on the menu but I didn't have what It takes to order It. The food was good though. The orange sauce was a little heavy and very sweet. To me it didn't taste much different than any of the many dishes I've tried at various Chinese restaurants. So, it makes me wonder about the difference between the two. The friendly service was notable. And the price was pretty much what I expected, around $20. Overall, a good experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Should have no problems getting in and out of this restaurant with assistive mobility devices.

The food was great. We did the com phan for 6-8. Had a bunch of leftovers afterward. The food took a while to come out, but we ordered a ton of specialized food that usually takes a while to cook anyway, so it was expected.

So friendly, so FRESH and yummy!We went to our usual place (pho ca dao) But found that they don't offer chicken broth options anymore.Tried this place because it was close, and found our new favorite!Asked for vegetables in our soup, and they were super accommodating!

Came in today it took a long time to be ready but that was ok because they were cleaning grease grates and she did let me know. Ordered two pho combination plates which came out to be 30 dollars. Unfortunately the broth wasnt flavorful, I had to add more to it. The meat was a bit salty too which felt a bit strange it was already cooked too.
Deliciousfood, very reasonable prices, great customer service and extremely generous portions. We try to go here as often as we can!!!

I think it was about 20 years ago that I discovered this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant and it became my favorite. Besides the food being wonderful, everyone there is very nice and make you feel welcome which is important to me. While their menu is huge, my favorites include fish porridge, fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls, rice noodle seafood soup, black mushrooms and bean curd, hot and sour soup, Singapore noodles. The stock they use for soup is rich and great flavors. The fresh spring rolls are perfectlly made, tight, neat, nice mint flavor. I always ask for their Nước chấm, Vietnamese dipping sauce, with fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, sugar, shredded carrots. It is light and fresh and the best great complement to the fresh spring rolls which are also light. The fish seafood soup is topped with freshly julienned ginger. It brightens the soup with just a little tang. It is full of fish and the fresh vegetables they give you to put on top of this makes it perfect. Vietnamese food captures the flavors of the ingredients and recipes are balanced. The cook/s at Quoc Te do a great job. I have often asked Quan for recommendations on what to order since he knows what I like. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. And enjoying the restaurants and shops in City Heights is important to this wonderfully diverse San Diego Community.
