I went there tonight thinking it was a sit down restaurant. It is more geared at takeout as they only have 4 tables and you place your order at the counter. I decided to eat my food there. The food was brought to my table in to go boxes with a plastic fork. Disappointing. The food was good but the girl who took my order wasn't very welcoming even though I left a 20% tip. If I go here again it will be for takeout.

One of the better dinners I have had while on the road. Gladly unexpected. Definitely will go again

I made the cardinal mistake of asking for potstickers at Z&F because I thought that we had ordered them there before. It's actually pretty common for Asian food restaurants to cross borders like that in America. The response was, "that's Japanese food!"Weird. Shanghai Bun has them. If I'm not mistaken, Shanghai is in China. HOW DARE THEM SERVE JAPANESE FOOD!!!

I recently came back from a San Diego trip and on our last day (July 24th) before leaving the next morning, my mom was craving Chinese food. Good thing this place allowed us to Doordash our order to the hotel we stayed at as long as someone went to the lobby to pick it up and tip the delivery person. We ordered beef broccoli, tofu with veggies in brown sauce and orange chicken. They tasted amazing and it reminded me of other Chinese restaurants I have gotten their food from. The only downside was they forgot our white rice even though the orange chicken said it came with white rice, but hey, no hard feelings. Next time, I hope to set foot in this small eatery next time I visit San Diego.

The price isn’t worth what your getting. Charged an extra $2.00 for white rice. The food was okay, but I found tiny bones in my meat, which wasn’t all that great. :(I wouldn’t recommend until they’re able to fix this.

This place is good. I had the Mongolian beef and ate there. It was piping hot, freshly made and good.

Huh, this place wasn't bad. The Point Loma area isn't well known for their diverse taste in Chinese cuisines so its kinda hard finding Chinese food, good is optional. Me and my buddies had a quick lunch here. So lets start with parking. Its gonna suck...Their parking lot is very small and usually packed. But there's a good chance you can find something. This restaurant had about 3x 4-seater tables. Its really not meant for a sitdown kind of situation. Further confirmed when all of our food came in to-go boxes when we said we were eating here. You'll find a lot of "safe" food choices here, meaning its not really that far out on the cuisine's menu. Think of a more authentic and fancier Panda Express. I ordered the Braised Beef Noodle soup and requested spicy sauce on the side. It was good. The soup was well done. The noodle was ok, the flavor didn't quite get into the noodle. The side condiments could use some attention such as the veggies, green onion and sour cabbage. Having a larger spoon and having it come in a bowl (not a togo bowl) would've the eating experience easier. Overall, it wasn't too bad. It's a hard comparison with the stuff in Convoy but a great choice for the neighborhood. I'd give this place a solidly deserved 3.

I didn’t know this restaurant had changed owners. I didn’t like the other place very much. Then I saw it had changed hands. This new place is excellent. I’ve been twice this week already. I first had General Tso’s chicken. Very spicy which is what I like. Took my mom there today. She had Cashew Chicken. Also very good but not spicy. I had the special wonton soup much like War Wonton but it lacked flavor. I also ordered Spicy Pork for dinner later. I tasted it and its also very good. I’m so glad Z&F took over the restaurant.

Vegetables eggrolls is the size of your thumb for $2 without flavor.Fried rice is seasoned poorly and not evenly done and has no flavor.Orange chicken tasted old and hardly tasted anything like Orange chicken and lacked of flavor. For $19 is not worth the money, time and flavor.Great customer service. That's for 1 star.

I love their food! My go-to spot for Chinese takeout. Small hidden gem in the shelter island village mall. Their kungpao chicken has just the right amount of kick, and the new addition honey walnut shrimp is my guilty pleasure. Food always tastes fresh and the staff are very friendly. During busy hours, the wait is a bit long, but I usually call in so my order is ready when I get there. They also have delivery but the wait is longer so i prefer picking it up myself. Also the orange chicken gets kinda soggy after a while. Overall I'm happy with the food quality and customer service. Will be back soon.

Don't even know where to start said they took off money for the appetizer I didn't get, but my card was charged. Counter person wouldn't allow me to speak to the owner. Stay away.

I am furious. I order a simple dinner to be delivered from here more than an hour ago. I live less than a mile away. They took my order, they took my money, I got nothing ( except a text telling me my food would be here in 30-50 min) it never got here. The restaurant has been closed for 45 min. I have nothing to eat and I have no other options because it is now too late to order anything else . If you like wasting money, getting nothing and being left stranded with nothing to eat, this is your perfect place. Oh as I am writing this my food arrived. Only took 1 hour and 20 min. It's cold, soggy and now I get to microwave it to try to make it palatable. This used to be a nice local restaurant that offered good food, good service and good pricing. It no longer provides any of those. You would be better off eating frozen grocery store food.

My friend and I had takeout since it had been a long while having Chinese food. He had the number 30 and I had the sweet and sour chicken, it was all delicious! Service was fast and the food was very yummy!

The best takeout Chinese food in Point Loma! Always fresh. We get Kung Pao chicken at least once per week. Tonight I am trying to Kung Pao shrimp. Can't wait!
