This place is frightening! I took my daughter here to celebrate her birthday, she went into the bathroom to find a creepy Harry Potter dummy above the toilet. Then she had her tea brought out to her by this dude who was dressed like a woman. This is an abusive tea room. Go else where!
What a fun experience I had with my daughter, neice and her friend. Great gluten free food, loved the teas and really everything about this place.
An authentic British afternoon tea room experience. From its cozy timeless foyer furniture to the gift shop you will feel as if you have crossed the pond for a sip and savor experience. The staff is well trained and very attentive. Single clients get the same service as large parties. The quality of the food is top notch! Many many tea flavors to choose from. They have a large free parking lot and there is some free street parking too. I think it is a must do afternoon culinary experience!
Had such a great experience! The food and tea were delicious can’t wait to come back again!
I’ll be dreaming about those scones with strawberry jam! ❤️
Have different themes each month. I love their London fog tea!!
First time at a tea party, and it was fantastic! We enjoyed afternoon tea with an Alice in Wonderland theme. We all dressed up as different characters, and there were even games and trivia. The food was also themed and delicious. We had two young girls in our party and they provided kid friendly eats for them too.
I recommend this experience!
We booked a long table for seven people at The Britannia Tearooms that has been around since 2000, which is now 25 years old. The menu changes with the seasons. We paid a total of 500 US dollars, which is about 72 dollars per person. The afternoon tea set included a variety of items such as salads, savory snacks, fruits, and desserts. Each person could choose their favorite tea. The table was beautifully decorated in a very British style, making it hard to resist taking pictures. There was a chessboard on the ceiling and a picture of Alice in Wonderland hitting her head on the ceiling. The bathroom was also full of details, which made it feel like someone was watching you while you were using the toilet, which was a bit strange. Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience to come here with friends for a casual get-together.
It was cute inside, the employees for the most part were helpful and kind. We did go later, so they may have just been ready to get out and go home; I wouldn’t blame them.
( Positives )

- food was ok, I had my favorites, so the options presented to you was nice.
( Negatives )
- location

Don't let the outside appearance fool you. When you step inside, it's a real experience. So beautifully decorated and attention to detail. The staff is so welcoming and attentive. We went for the Queens Tea. The tea was good and the food was exactly what you'd expect for a proper British tea. Will be sure to go again.
Delicious fare, huge assortment of amazing teas, lovely and nerdy English-cottagecore ambiance. Fans of Dr. Who, Alice in Wonderland, Agatha Christie, Harry Potter, etc. Will love this vibe mixed with flowers and doilies... and did I mention the food and tea was amazing??! Be sure to check out the gift shop with hairy coos (highland cows), hedgehogs, mushrooms, Harry Potter memorabilia, and any accessory you could want to host your own tea party, such as tea pots, creamers, steepers, spoons, decor, aprons, etc.... including a selection of teas, jams, and curds. Brought my kiddo here for the 17th birthday, and everything was perfect, and everyone was so nice! We will be back!
Wonder tea selection, great atmosphere, fun special events
Had reservations at 11:00 on the weekend at the Midway tea room and were sat in a veritable empty dining area with exception of a very large, very loud party immediately adjacent to our party of 4. It was so loud we could not hear ourselves think. Asked the manager if we could be moved to another table (the majority being empty in the immediate area) the manager, making many excuses, basically said it wasn't an option. Half heartedly apologizing for the deafening noise, invited us to come back again "during the week" and promptly walked away. We won't be going back. The disingenuous apology fell abruptly short.

Downtown Abbey, Bridgerton, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, James Bond, and Mary Poppins, Harry & Megan, William & Kate(meh!)...
The Britannia Tearooms are cute, charming, fun, whimsical with fantastic staff, and pretty good food! The savory finger sandwiches and little pastries and desserts are lovely...the sausage roll is the best! The wait staff is even better!
For most "normal" humans, it's enough food... but I'm a weirdo with a HUGE appetite, and I prefer savory over sweet. One hour prior to arrival, I ate a pastrami cheese sandwich and a bag of corn chips. Then after eating all the delightful afternoon tea foods, I was still feeling "peckish"(as the Brits say) and very tempted to stop by Shakespeare's Pub to have a plate of Fish & Chips. So for $53 before tax and tip, and walking away a bit hungry, it's not a good value for me...but 80% of the average American population will this to be enough food. I'll still come again if invited by the right people for a special occasion...and maybe stop by Shakespheare's Pub on the way home :)
