Excellent vegan food. "Chicken" was beautiful. The iced peach tea was exquisite. Eat here

Still great food but a much smaller menu in their new location. I haven't found a single menu item I wouldn't have again. A variety of vegan food items are available with quick service. The ONLY downside is the LOCATION with a small, cramped parking lot. Narrow parking slots with multiple businesses make parking a serious challenge. Only saw one handicap parking spot available.

Purple Mint recently moved to a new location and they are creating a fresh new atmosphere. We’ve been to the new location 3 times already and everything we try is amazing. It’s the perfect place for elegant vegan food that anyone would enjoy.I tried the black rice pasta last night and it was unbelievably good. Way more than pasta! Mounds of veggies, tofu, crunchy thin noodles, so many flavors that complement each other.

Our favorite vegan place to eat as a family. I'm not vegan but my wife is, we can both find something to get here. Highly recommend.

We ate her twice a day, everyday, during our week long visit. Hands down the best vegan restaurant in SD (best restaurant period, vegan or no). Food is super complex, fresh, light, and packed with flavour. The service is unmatched - people like CJ create a warm and welcoming environment. Drinks like passion fruit lemonade are very flag orange and the food is very affordable, with large portions. We recommend: the tofu banh mi, the won ton soup, the hot and sour soup, sweet potato curry, and the duck lettuce wraps. They switched locations because their old building turned into apartments so please continue supporting this small business so it can remain a SD institution!

This bistro was a lovely surprise find. A family member lives right around the corner so we walked on a whim to find dinner, not knowing at all what to expect. Inside is very pleasant and nice and clean. Our server was attentive and on point, not needing to take notes and getting everything right for our party of three ordering appetizers and entrees. And the food all tasted quite nice. We got the avocado rolls and the "chicken" lettuce wraps for appetizers. The rolls were nice and fresh, the cucumbers and bean sprouts all had a great crunch to them, nothing old or mushy. The wraps were even better in my opinion. The serving size was quite large and more than enough for the three of us. For entrees, I got the mapo tofu, my husband got the "steak", and his cousin got the yam and sweet potato curry. The mapo tofu was good but if you are ordering it for the first time, don't expect it to be like traditional mapo tofu at all. I would think of it as more of just some tofu stir fry. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The "steak" was good, it comes on a small skillet with onions and mushrooms. And the curry was tasty; if i were to get it I'd make sure to have them make it without cilantro. We all got jasmine tea and at one point two of us were running low and the server refilled without us even noticing, which was great. The server was very friendly and prompt.Overall, very positive experience and we were all happy with the food and would go again. I'd like to try quite a few of their menu items.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan bistro so everything is veggie friendly
