Troy's Greek Restaurant

First, the service was amazing. People there are very friendly and informative. The food came out quickly.

Second, what I ordered was perfect. The lamb shank was very moist and tender. The sauce on it was rich and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were definitely home made from fresh potatoes. Not really lumpy. The gravy was not salty and watery. I just wish they put double the gravy.

Anyhow, I'm going back to try other dishes and review them. Give them a try. I think it's one of the long lasting institutions in San Diego that deserves at least a try.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD PATTY MELT. I bought one in Point Loma 3 months ago. It was not what I expected. At Troy's it was right on.It hit all the buttons.I will be going back the next time I want a Patty Melt.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. I’ve always loved it. My family would bring me, and now I hope to bring my friends and their kids as well to have the same joyful experience I have. The owner of the restaurant is a great man, their food is great, and their Sunday Brunch is a great habit to start! If you’re in the area, it’s definitely a tasty experience.

We had a coupon from Troy's as a birthday for $10 off $40. We're long time customers of Troy's. Have always enjoyed their food. This time we weren't as pleased however. Actually it was me who was only mostly pleased. My beef kebabs were way over done. One was burnt but I didn't notice it until I already eaten the half that wasn't burnt. My husband didn't really like what he ordered. It was ground beef in filo dough covered in bechemel sauce. He was disappointed and probably won't order that again. The rice was good, the roasted carrots were excellent. Very thinly sliced. We ordered our favorite appetizer of falafels. We had an order of four falafels that were accompanied with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. That was great. Will we go back? Of course.

The food here is amazing! Stopped in from the nearby hospital to find this gem. Sweet staff, quick service, large menu selections, and lunch specials. Large portion sizes. I will come back again for sure when I am in the area.

We have been frequenting Troy’s since they opened and have been waiting for the Greek wine and beer to return; so thanks for the confirmation! The food is outstanding and the best gyros by far. Also, my husband and I fight over the carrots as we love them that much!!! Even if you are there and don’t enjoy Greek food the fish and chips are fabulous and always nice and crispy. My favorite is the gyros platter! And you may have to wait a moment for your server but it’s beyond worth the wait.

The food was awesome! I had a gyro Mediterranean salad. The gyro meat was really good and some of the best Pita bread. It was lunch time and not crowded but service seemed a bit slow. But it was OK since I was with friend catching up. I definitely want to go back and try some of the other dishes.

My husband and I dined in to eat. This was our 2nd time coming to Troy’s Greek restaurant. The inside of the restaurant was pleasantly calming and quiet. Anita was our friendly server. The menu items we ordered, a plate W/ gyro meat, lemon chicken with pilaf rice and pita bread. Also the combo plate which is a variety of everything, Gyro, chicken skewer, spanakopita W/ pita bread & pilaf rice. We definitely enjoyed our time dining in while having a beer with dinner. We will definitely be back, the food was deliciously fresh and hot!

It feels organic
