Good spot for grilled skewers but nothing seemed to really shine except the chicken thighs. Everything was grilled to medium doneness which made beef items a little more tougher. Maybe they need to cook closer to the coals, the beef tongue and beef short ribs were a bit overcooked - could greatly benefit if cooked to medium rare.Service was good. The atmosphere felt lively.

I wanna say that this restaurant was great, most of the people treated my friends and I so well, the food was delicious, everyone was friendly, But today we met a very unpleasant thing.First of all, i don't understand what is the problem with 10% tip. I took my friends here very frequently and we never order less than 50 dollars. If you want to fine me because my friend brought 30% of a bottle of diet coke, i would be more than willing to do that, But that is totally different with tipping.Secondly, my friend and I visit here for at least 7 times this month, we've been familiar with most of the staff here. The food was so great, and most of the staff were so kind to us, for that I am so grateful. We believe firmly that we have paid 15% tip, and this time I did not pay it because the attitude from one of the staff was very uncomfortable to us, and they came out and stared at me and said that I paid 10% tip everytime. I don't know why they do this to me. The first time I came here, my friend received the phone call for the waitlist for 1 second and hanged up on the other side, and we were told we must wait again on the waitlist. If it was my fault, that I should never pay 10% tip based from the price without tax, instead i should pay 15% or more on with tax base I would apologize to all the staff there and next time i visit i would do that for sure.

Stopped by for dinner and grabbed a few skewers, miso soup, and gyoza. HIGHLY recommend the gyoza it was so juicy and flavorful. the skewers are kinda small for the price and our appetite tbh. miso soup was average but nothing bad. the skewers we got were chicken and green onion, pork belly, kalbi beef, chicken with salmon and corn, and chicken with california (krab, avocado, and kewpie mayo). beef was probably my favorite and my friends was the california chicken. would totally go again!!

At least the best in California. Their chicken skewers are perfect. All of them tasted great. Look forward to visiting again.

After going on a trip to Japan recently, this is the closest we'll get to "eating in Japan" without being in Japan. The yakitori here is cooked to perfection and drinks are amazing as well. The staff are attentive and make sure food is tasting amazing and you're not waiting too long for any food or drink items. I'd like to visit some of their other locations in Japan someday.Parking: Parking lot is almost always full, so come a bit earlier to find parking.

Came here after tennis with some buddies. Open late. Parking was easy to find since it was a weekday. Service was very good. We were seated immediately. We ordered the flank steak and some creamy udon. The inside was clean and the food came out quick. Always a good spot.

This place was amazing. Came in one night to enjoy some traditional yakitori, this place did not disappoint. Was seated at the bar started out with a mixture of different meats from chicken, pork and beef. Enjoyed a huge beer awhile I was there too. Staff there were very knowledgeable and friendly. I asked the wait staff who was serving me for some suggestions they were absolutely great. I definitely will be back. This place is super clean and the people were very hospitable and kind. I would imagine this would be like being in Japan.

Generally taste good, recommend beef tongue! (limited to 1 skewer per person). Good to reserve in advance through phone call.

After high recommendation, my friend and I grabbed dinner at this hole-in-the-wall yakitori spot. I had full intentions of just walking in and dining but was surprised that they were already full! You can make reservations on their website and their regulars really take advantage of that because it's on the smaller size inside. Luckily, we put our name down and went to grab boba in the meantime but they called us back much faster than their estimated time. We even got to sit at the bar next to their chefs! Everything smelled delicious and the counters were lined with their crispy chicken skin. Of course we ordered that appetizer with ponzu sauce and it was basically chicharrones: salty, lemony, and full of flavor. I ordered their omakase skewers since there were too many to decide from and our favorite was the beef short rib, but all the chicken ones were so juicy. Even the asparagus was thinly wrapped in chicken and I could eat that like candy. Overall, the service was very attentive and fast with bringing out the food. The atmosphere was inviting, warm, and quiet enough to still hear the person you're taking with. We barely scratched the surface on the menu too, but I'm sure it'll all be just as great of quality.

This place always hits the spot when I'm craving Yakitori or a rice bowl. Be aware of the wait to get in on weekends. Usually 1 HR+ AND also for the food to come out (30 mins) - "Tokusei" Karaage bowl ( ~$14) 8/10 Rice bowl with chicken karaage. Topped with Japanese mayo, green onions, nori, and sesame seeds. SAVORY!! - Can't remember the name but it was similar to teriyaki chicken bowl (Weekly special ~$14) 7/10 This dish was a little on the sweeter side, not my cup of tea but sill pretty good. Topped with green onions, sesame seeds, and a poached egg. YAKITORI - GYU KALBI (prime beef short rib) Must order, I get this every time I come here - GYU TAN (beef tongue) So tender and bouncy. Try it!!

I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. One waitress was especially rude, waiting for us to move things around on our table/ passes her menus in gesture only. What made it worse was seeing her being much friendlier to a table where people were speaking Japanese. It felt unfair and completely ruined our dining experience. Don’t come here if you simply want to enjoy the food.

0 star ever! I got discriminated and got treated vey badly and rude tonight. I WIL REPORT TO THE CIVIL RIGHTS DEPARTMENT AS WELL AS department of justice. I have all the videos. I called 50 minutes ahead of opening and asked if they accepted reservation. One female server said I could just walk in and there are two spots available. so I drove 30 minutes and waited outside in cold for 10 minutes to be the first party. When it opened, the man server told me that I needed to leave because there wasn’t any spot and the lady made a mistake. HE WAS SO RUDE AND ARROGANT IN A WAY THAT I COULDNT IMAGINE!!!!! HOW COULD THOSE SERVERS BE ACCEPTED INTO THIS STORE? I wouldn’t let it go and will keep reporting. GOOD LUCK FOR DOING A BUSINESS LIKE THIS
