Wow. This might be one of the best meals I've ever had. White pasta with prosciutto is what I ordered. Service was fantastic, very highly recommend!!

The best combination of French and Italian. The chef is amazing. Cooks real food. Feels like home. The vibe is amazing making you feel like you back in the old good days where people were real, caring and sharing. The staff is friendly and cool. Thank you. Will be back for sure!

Çastagna is absolutely wonderful French food and a French experience! The head chef, Stephan, is very friendly, professional and kind. He grew up in Nice and speaks fluent French and was so kind to me as a beginner French language learner. His staff is excellent. They are working very hard at Castagna, pay them a visit you will not be disappointed!

I was looking forward to this fine dining take-out. I found them on Tock and they were offering take-out there from the early days of SF shelter-in-place. I ordered the beef carpaccio with wild arugula salad, the sockeye salmon with risotto and caramelized apple tart. The beef carpaccio and wild arugula salad was great but the salmon was overcooked. The apple tart was also a bit on the sweet side. Overall, this was not a good meal, particularly given the price and the high yelp rating. Maybe they were having a bad day that night. Not recommended.

If there is one restaurant in the City to hold up during these difficult times, this is it! Stephane and the choice staff do NOT disappoint! Even if you want to order a filet to take away, it will still be glorious. So very much looking forward to the time when we can gather once again for not only the food, but the personal, conversational, intimate yet fresh atmosphere of their intentional space. Allons y !!

At the first moment you enter that place they give you an excellent feeling. Very congenial stuff, it is a nice place to hang out with your friends or with your date. heavenly cooking, qualified chef de cuisine, competitive price and nice service. Warmly recommended.

This spot never fails to deliver. They serve fresh dishes for fair prices, there are no long waits even when the spot is packed.

We had great service and amazing food here one night. The waiters were very friendly and gave us great recommendations. We got the steak tartare, mushroom soup, a goat cheese salad and pasta. A bit pricey but well worth it! A nice spot for a special occasion. We will be back.

Small, cute French bistro serving up Provençal classics. We came for my dad's birthday based on the great reviews. It is a tiny restaurant with one person as the host, server, and busser. He was really nice and provided great service all night. 5 stars for the service. I like the casual low key environment here. We had the tuna ceviche and steak tartare to start. Both were excellent. The tuna was more like tartare since it was raw with a little citrus dressed right before serving. The steak tartare was fantastic. I ordered the halibut which was a special that came with Italian black rice and spinach. The fish was super flavorful, nice and meaty with a crisp skin. The black rice was really nutty and creamy with a bite. My family had the mussels with a side of fries, the lamb chops, the bolognese, and the beef daube. The mussels were my favorite of the other dishes, they were naturally sweet and the white wine sauce was excellent. The fries were thin, super crisp, served hot out of the fryer, so delicious. The other dishes were good, but nothing really stood out. For dessert we had a creme brûlée and tart tatin. The pastry on the tart tatin was super flaky. The desserts were pretty good. Overall, the food is solid French Provençal cuisine that is classically prepared and well executed. I liked the quaint relaxed vibe. We sat there for hours slowly eating and hanging out, which made for a nice dining experience.

We had a lovely and delicious dinner. We sat at the small bar. The server, owner, cooks, chef are so friendly and kind.. (That means a lot= food is good and service is also good.. Great Star for all of you. We got beef tartar and skinny garlic fries as appetizer. And a Prosecco bottle. For the main course: My boyfriend got Pesto pasta and the cash of the day (fish) and I got pasta bolognesa... it was so delicious... Definitely coming back here but not eating appetizer so I can eat the whole plate of pasta. Thanks a lot for your kindness and for the wonderful food!

You know the food is good when you're still thinking about dinner the next day. We had lasagna, French onion soup, seafood pasta, 2 glasses of wine and chocolate lava cake. Everything was delicious but if I had to pick one the lasagna was my favorite. I'm not over exaggerating when I say that it was probably one of the best lasagna dishes I ever had. Something about the meat was really tender and chewy. It's a smaller spot but the ambience was nice and our waiter was very friendly. Bill came out to $120 ish after tip and taxes which was less than anticipated considering everything we got. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
