Armando did such a beautiful job with everything at Dianda’s. My family has been coming here for 40 years. We just bought clamshells, cannoli, fruit pies, and almond tortes. They were all amazing. But the tortes were not like the old days- fewer almonds, a ton of powdered sugar, and the bottom was not as good as times past. We will of course be back. I hope this difference was a one off.Parking: Generally the best move is to call ahead, then have someone drop you off and circle the block a few times.

Outstanding Italian Bakery. We have a family tradition of having a St. Honore cake during the holidays. The cookies are yummy! As is the torte! But also, everything is delicious.

I eagerly visited a local bakery seeking an authentic taste of this Italian holiday tradition. I requested to recommended a tradition in house made Panettone, but what I received was a far cry from the classic Panettone. Instead, I was presented with a round, baked good thoroughly infused with an overpowering flavor of black licorice or anise. This intense flavor lingered persistently, a stubborn guest unwilling to leave, tainting our taste buds for hours. It was a jarring experience, one that warranted a cautionary label. This pastry, masquerading as Panettone, strayed so far from the traditional recipe that it seemed almost disrespectful. I couldn’t help but think that the Italian ancestors, guardians of this beloved holiday staple, would be dismayed by such a deviation from their cherished culinary heritage ?$15 wasted.

The small merengues and apricot pockets were very fresh and tasty. However the line and the wait was a little inconvenient.
We used to get cakes here and they have been very good. We got a birthday cake and no one liked the cake at all. The cake was so dry and had a weird texture as if something was missing. Our days of ordering here are over.

One of the best bakeries in the mission district. And one of the best espressos too!!!

I've sent boxes of these cookies home for special occasions and also bought to share with friends or keep at home for a pastry in the morning with my espresso. Honestly love every cookie I've bitten into. And the cakes! The mango cake was divine!

Purchased slices of the tiramisu, guava tres leches, Neapolitan, and chocolate strawberry this morning. Great that it was open at 6AM and found parking right outside. All the cakes were good, but unfortunately the chocolate strawberry slice never made it into the box, and I didn’t realized until the evening when I opened the box so I payed for a slice I never received.

Always love this bakery ever since I was a kid. Strawberry and cream and the rum cakes are the best. The icing is to die for!!! The only cakes I would eat everything.
