If I could give this awesome place more stars, I would. After a long and harrowing day at the hospital for tests, we were starving and exhausted. Wow, did we ever hit the lottery of the type of place WE LOVE! The owner, the chef, the patrons, the environment, the entire experience was past 10 star stellar level. This place is now our go to spot for date day or night, our favorite food, and our favorite restaurant owners. We decided on a 10$ plate of chicken tacos, 6 rolled, fried taquitos with rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream and 2 sauces ( red and green). We ate every bite, in garden chairs by a fire. They even have a hot wheels play place for those with kids, big and small, YES, I played! As we were finishing our last bites, the owner came to ask how we were faring, and he was so kind, friendly and accommodating! I am rarely impressed. We talked for a while, we said how happy we were, and he told us his story of how this wonderful place came to be. Starting small, patient wife, hard work with quality ingredients and community respect.
We will return as often as possible, as this place is a true gem. Our visit here reminded both of us that God is Always Good. Gracias, por la hospitalidad🙏

I was real disappointed in the $4 horchata that didn’t look or taste authentic, $4 pastor street tacos that was full of fatty pieces and made in way that looked like unseasoned pork with sauce on it! It took a while to place my order as 3 people stood inattentive chatting not acknowledging me! Only decided to try this place because I live across the street but believe me I will take the walk to 24th & Mission next time!

While visiting San Francisco’s Presidio National Park and the nearby Walt Disney Family Museum on August 11 2023, we came upon several food trucks parked up, one of which was El Fuego Authentic Mexican. It had the longest line of them all so we figured the food must be good. The delicious smell also was a big draw! We joined the long line and waited patiently for 15 minutes to be served. As we neared the truck, a lady crossed out the fish tacos on the menu - they must have been popular. We had to quickly rethink what we’d like to order. We went for the following (to share): 🌮 Combo de Lux 🥤 Mexican Coca-Cola (500ml in glass bottles) x 2 The Combo de Lux consisted of: Soft taco x 1 Mulita (sandwich taco) x 1 Quesabirria x 1 Consommé (broth) Pots of mild and spicy salsa We were given a pager so we would know when to return to the hatch. It was an exciting 10 minute wait while the tasty delights were freshly prepared inside the food truck. We took our food over to some large plastic rocking chairs on the Main Parade Lawn (opposite the Walt Disney Family Museum) and tucked in without delay. The food was incredible: full of birria-style beef, cheesy, spicy, tasty, juicy. We had to take great care when eating it, as it was a breezy day and we didn’t want to make a mess. The consommé was new to us. We didn’t dip the quesabirria into the broth - we drank it! The flavors were very rich, with a little spicy kick. El Fuego really was a good choice and just what we needed for lunch having walked many miles around San Francisco. These were our first authentic tacos in California and the benchmark has now been set very high!

This is my favorite Mexican food spot in SF! I am pescatarian so I usually get fish taco or veggie burrito. The portions are great and the prices are reasonable!Very juicy and tasty. My favorite thing in burrito is that they don’t put rice and it’s just delicious. My friends who eat meat adore their Birria tacos. Can’t wait for my next stop or online order ?

Really really good beef tacos! A specialty beef (Birria) Mexican food truck. So per typical food truck the menu changes pretty frequently, so I got the combo for about $18. It comes with 1 soft taco, 1 crispy taco, a mulita (quesadilla) and a cup of consume. Now add a drink, tax and tip it’s an easy $25 lunch. Now that being said the soft tacos are delicious and totally worth it. The crispy taco and mulita added cheese which I feel took away from the beef, that’s just me tho. The consume is real good as to be expected. A cup of that in the morning after a long night will do wonders. I know it’s San Francisco but $25 lunch at a food truck is a bit steep. Worth it, yes.
