I didn’t feel that the restaurant deserves 5 starts. The placement of the table that we got was not perfect. It was where the waiters open and prepare the wine bottles. I don’t believe that the food deserves a star Michelin (out of experience from other star Michelin restaurant). However it is always an experience to go and experience these places. The servers were present all the time and ready for any question.

This is absolutely the best restaurant in the city. Hands down all around. Food amazing. Service - top tier. Ambiance- majestic. Even the bathroom is like a spa.

Excellent option for a special occassion night out or if you want to treat yourself to an excellent dinner, ambiance and service whenever you are able to. Excellent quality and great welcoming service from start to finish. Food was delicious; I cannot complain about anything. If you come here you will not be dissapointed; very professional, attenative and excellent establishment. The take home cake they provide as a generous favor was so delicous! so photo. Boris has a great personality and provides great service. Thank you Gary Danko Team!

What an amazing experience. Worth every penny. We had reservations for a birthday. We arrived a bit early, and sat at the bar to get a drink. We were promptly seated in a corner booth. So kind of the staff to give us such great seats! The sommelier helped us to pick an excellent bottle of wine. We ordered the 4 course tasting menu -- all of which was incredible. I would absolutely return here for another special event.

Always a lovely experience. We've dined here numerous times; last night seemed a bit frenetic. Busy night, but so many different waitstaff kept approaching and interacting with us, it got a little overwhelming. That being said, we will return. So lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood.

As always dining at GD's is a very fine experience. Had a cocktail that wasn't quite right , but didn't want to make a fuss as my guest was picking up the bill. The caviar was amazing, lamb cooked to perfection and dessert over the top delicious—almost too much to eat after such a filling meal.

Last night was a double celebration at a destination restaurant, Gary Danko. The ultra service was one of the best we ever had, starting with the wait captain, serve was Miguel, top service. The food presentation and tastes magnificent. Started with a warm goat vegetable tart. The surprise was my entree, quail, expecting one bird, got two, dessert was warm butter cake. My friend, Lauren dinner was risotto with loster, filet of beef and profiteroles. It was Lauren's birthday, and one hundred days after my kidney transplant. Planning my return trip!

It was very nice- not at the level of service was not as I had remembered For example the last wine pairing was not good- not a single one of the 5 of us drank it and they did not ask? Also very limited descriptions on wine and food- as if in a hurry

Always an amazing time here at the GD. The staff were exceptionally attentive and were fun! It wasn’t a stuffy environment at all. I used to frequent GD quite a bit before the pandemic; since they re-opened, I’ve been about 5-6 times and they still kept up their consistency. All dishes were cooked to perfection and had tons of flavors. I had the lobster risotto, roast lobster (my fav), lamb loin, and quail. My friend enjoyed the scallops, roast lobster, duck and tenderloin. We also loved the caviar bites at the start of our meals. Highly recommend as this is still one of my top restaurants in SF. Book early or drop into the bar for full service seatings.

We made a reservation weeks ahead for Galentines day dinner and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting. The service was truly exceptional. Unlike some restaurants, they didn't rush us through our meal, allowing us to savor each moment. The staff was attentive and professional, offering assistance and recommendations whenever needed. Now, let's talk about the food! While everything we tasted was delicious, some dishes truly stood out (Branzini, Seared filet of beef, baked chocolate souffle). Appetizer: Lobster risotto (4/5) - It was just a tiny bit salty but other than that it was great! Not to mention the portion of this dish was very generous. Branzini (5/5) - The branzini was cooked to perfection. The crispy skin gave way to a tender, flavorful fish. Seared filet of beef (5/5) - Cooked exactly as requested, the filet was incredibly tender and bursting with juicy flavor. baked chocolate souffle (5/5) - An absolute dream come true! It tastes like chocolate could. Trio Creme Brulee with Assorted Cookies (5/5) - The trio offers 3 distinct flavors (chocolate, original and passionfruit). My personal favorite was the passion fruit, which offered a refreshing and vibrant contrast to the sweetness. Highly recommend! I would definitely go back and explore more of their menu
