Imperial Garden SF & Sassy Foods catered our all-vegan wedding, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Elaine, Menny, and their team truly went above and beyond. They made sure everything ran smoothly so we could focus on enjoying the day, which we're extremely grateful for! The food was SO GOOD - our guests couldn't stop raving about it, and everyone had different favorites, but a few standouts were the vegan xiao long bao, turnip cake, and fried glutinous dumplings (ham sui gok). Being from Hong Kong, it meant so much to me to be able to serve vegan dim sum to our family and friends, and show everyone that vegan food can be both authentic and delicious. Thank you, Elaine and Menny, for making our wedding day so special!

Great authentic dim sum! Service was okay, it was faster the first time I went and a bit slower the second time. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is super yummy! Definitely ask if there is meat in a dish if you are vegetarian because they don’t always list it on the menu!!! They have a vegan menu by the way!! A bit pricey but worth it for the experience.

Vegetarian options: A vegan menu!

Vegans beware! They have vegan items on the menu, but they aren't careful about it. The waiter brought out some buns and said, "These are the vegan ones... wait, no, they aren't!" I almost took a bite of straight pork. After that, I wasn't going to eat anything. Sat there for 40 minutes while my party ate their food. Nope.

Vegetarian options: They aren't ready to serve vegan customers.

Dietary restrictions: Not careful about dietary restrictions. Do not trust them.

Very good dimsum teahouse. They've recreated a few classics and made them extremely tasty. Highly recommend this spot!

Big vegan menu, which is technically by Sassy Foods? Right now it exists as a menu printed on receipt paper. Good portion, no placeholder ingredients in the dumpling fillings.I love their siew mai, but I love the deep fried dumpling 咸水角 even more! They now have multi flavor egg tarts too!The only thing is the location is still a traditional Chinese seafood restaurant, and has those fish tanks of to be killed fish. Not the most welcoming setting for vegans.

I heard this place is under new management as of a year or so ago, and it shows! We (4 adults 5 kids) came on a Saturday at 12:15pm. Only had a 5 minute wait as they cleared a table for us. I'm guessing it's not as busy since it's rated low, but with the new management you can see how much they've improved. They have a regular menu AND a vegan menu, which was awesome. All of the food was great, easily 4-4.5 stars. They basically had a vegan version of everything - dumplings, rice rolls, siu mai, even egg tarts! But the best was the service - all of our servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. They accidentally messed up an order and immediately took it back and replaced it. We will absolutely be back.

Amazing vegan dim sum options! Really enjoyed the various dumplings. The vegan egg tarts were really tasty, but they were more like a cold pudding rather than the typical egg tart that is warm.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant!!! Great food and service. I love the mango piggies they have on weekends, the purple yam buns, and I especially love the salt and pepper pork. Great staff too. Good selection of vegan dishes. Lovely ambience, especially good vibes at lunch on the weekends.

Really good Chinese Restaurant. We got greeted and sat right away, we got the house tea and the dining Captain dressed on a tuxedo came in and offered the specials, we ordered the War Won Ton Soup, Chinese Broccoli with Ginger Garlic, House Chow Mein, Steamed Rice and House Special Fried Dungeness Crab. The Soup was expertly served by the Captain making sure we got equal parts of Won Ton, Meat and Veggies. The star of the show was the Crab special, we cracked the shells eat the meat and whatever was left behind, the hints of scallions jalapeño and garlic complimented the savory pieces of sweet and tender crab meat and batter left behind by the Crab shells, it’s addictive and it leaves you wanting more even after you finish. There is a server going around on a cart with all kind of Dim Sum to choose from. Parking is next to the building.
