Great food, great staff and great experience! This place offers bomb prime rib plus bomb sides! Their truffle Mac and cheese is also amazing so I highly recommend that as a side dish. The entrees come with a few yummy sides such as creamed spinach, corn, and yorkshire pudding. All the food was delicious and I usually never eat the pudding but it was so good here. They also have bomb desserts and wine selection. Highly recommend this place! Our server Hyejin was also very professional and she's the fastest server I've ever seen.

Second visit. We had 4 people this time. Good food good price. However, noise level is a bit annoying this time. People with 1 of the table talked loud during our eating. I know it was not the restaurant's problem. But they should request them to low down their volume. It was a little thing. They still deserve 5 stars. Highly recommended.

We went on a Friday night. It was delicious! Very similar to house of prime rib. I loved the pate and and the Yorkshire pudding. I opted for the English cut while my sister got the regular prime rib. If I go back I'll get the regular cut because I ended up just cutting though both pieces at once of the thin cut meat anyway. Hope we can go back before it ends on oct 1!

Took my wife in for her birthday, the staff was really nice and quick , we were there at 630pm and there were some empty tables but enough being served to have the right amount of waitress attention, food was amazing, never been to HOPR cause getting a 2 person table there is hard but now don't need to, my wife and I were very impressed, we'll come back definitely, also cocktails were great

It is a good place to enjoy good prime rib in Sunset district. Good location. Easy to find parking spot. Food and service quality are excellent. I gave 5 stars for price vs quality. The size of the meat is big. Unfortunately, owner will convert the place to bar after Sept 2022 and not serving prime rib. Too bad.

Good but nothing special. I can make the equivalent at home. Would have preferred a baked potato but not an option. Requested seared which they could not do but would "torch" it, but that did nothing but cook it to medium. I might try again since its easy to get a reservation.

Service is excellent and the food was delicious. Unfortunately all cuts of their prime rib only wellness was medium rare. Loved their fresh warm sour dough bread with chicken liver pate or butter. House salad was delicious and refreshing. Highly recommend everyone to try Prime Steakhouse. Make reservations!

The prime rib was very good as advertised, although everything altogether was a bit expensive. Service was the weak point in our dining experience. An example of this was getting our main dish over an hour after being seated. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient, but there were only two waitresses for the entire restaurant.

Prime Rib was just okay 4 of us had a lot of fat attached. Was served luke warm. The mash potatoes and cream spinach was mixed with the meat juice so, it was runny. Flavor was okay for both. The outstanding dish was the Mushroom Rissoto. That was delicious and the whole table agreed that was the best dish of the night. We even ordered another for the table. The Mac and Cheese had a weird aftertaste- we couldn't figure it out but it was like metallic tasting. Not sure if it was the type of cheese or truffle that gave it a weird flavor. The service was good, the gals were friendly and busy but they were on it. The location was good too.

The food and service was good. Another good option if wanted to to eat prime rib. The only thing might be a con is you can't ask the meat to be cooked medium or medium well, but understandable due to meat lovers understands that medium rare can tastes it's juiciness and tender of the meat.

The prime rib was delicious, ? and the sides were also delicious. The service was outstanding. It's so nice having a small House of Prime Rib type restaurant in the neighborhood, without driving a long ways and having to deal with parking issues. Thank you Prime Steakhouse.

I read about Prime Steakhouse (they serve prime rib, they don't serve steak as the name might imply) in the Sunset District in San Francisco was looking forward to trying it out as it is almost impossible to get reservations at the House of Prime Rib these days. The dinner started with bread and their chicken liver pate and butter and was nice as an appetizer. The salad is what you would expect from House of Prime Rib, reasonably large but largely uninspired, and the "prime rib" itself was more roast beef than prime rib (meaning the eye and spinalis dorsi wasn't readily apparent in my particular cut). The beef was more rare than medium rare which is fine with me, flavorful, albeit a bit on the chewy side. The small yorkshire pudding was fine but again uninspired. If I had a suggestion to make, it would be not to mix everything on one plate. The beef, potatoes and gravy is ok on one plate. Maybe the creamed spinach and corn on a separate smaller plate? Service (at least for me and my guest) was a little slow until I actually flagged them down. It was a nice dinner in my opinion, and I would try it again just to see if there are any differences. The rating is actually between three and four stars, 3.5-ish.

The prime rib was cut wrong -- one lacked flavor; on the other the flavor was not evenly distributed. The quality of prime rib was subpar and chewy. It also felt like the meat was pre-cut and the sides had a film on it like it had been sitting under a heat lamp prior to serving. The risotto and mac and cheese were the highlight. Ambience would have been fine but the large brown boxes in the store room were visible from the dining room and various ceiling lights were out. As expensive as the meal was, one would expect more.

An interesting idea, but not great execution. No front of house so kinda standing around until someone comes, then tells you to take a photo of a menu taped on a wall. Then you are sat down, and the waitress was nice. Didn't have a good beer that was on the menu, was bummed about that. The food was an obvious take on HOPR, but without the service elements like the meat cart, etc. A table next to us had salads made right there, but we did not. Was really excited for the meat, but both me and my pregnant lady were both disappointed. Not really even warm, came from under a metal tray so no way to really tell if it was freshly cut or had been sitting there for 10 mins, etc. The fat was a bit weird tasting. I make PR all the time... Same with the sides, very generic, nothing special I would describe the ambience as OK, but definitely the vibes of a restaurant that was quickly converted to this concept from a previous restaurant. Overall so bummed it wasn't great, was really looking forward to it.
