Simple Pleasures Café-what a great neighborhood find! 3434 Balboa St. in the Outer Richmond District of San Francisco, just a stone’s throw to the beach. This neighborhood, favorite has a little bit of everything, baked goods, freshly roasted coffee, cold beer, and a fabulous vibe. I treated myself to the deeeeelicious Italian almond cake with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, what a pleasure it was indeed!

1) Its a neighborhood spot. For people who have lived in SF 15+ years. Great, regular crowd. High school and college kids working the front.2) Its not a hoity-toity place. There are others in the Richmond that can serve you a cortado with a heart in the foam. Go there if thats what you seek.If you came in expecting Blue Bottle, and were disappointed, thats on you. Dont be a hater and stress the locals with a bad review. Go find a new hobby

I love this cafe. It was my favorite spot to go for breakfast, for lunch, for coffee. They had free wifi and everyone was all smiles and giggles and making everyone in line happy to be there. I always feel better for having visited.

We called ahead and asked to do stand up. They td us we are welcome to come and do stand up. After the person (who may have stake in ownership) played, they said it was over and none of my friends nor me could play. We ordered food and drinks before. The food was terrible and the the drinks were tap so were fine. But go to this place at your own risk. Not worth it. Go somewhere else.

Came here to do stand up. They had one guy named Virgil play the whole time and leave no time for comics. It is super disrespectful. I talked to them on the phone, told me I was good to go. I asked to go after Virgil they said they were shutting down and they threatened to call the doll. Ridiculous. Gain some respect for the comics.

It was my first time here . This place is awesome. You can sit in this cafe and just look at the walls and take pictures. There are lots of pictures and posters and arts from years and years ago hanging all over the place . I loved it not because of their drinks and pastries but just because of its atmosphere. I ordered a Chagaccino ( which was ok ) and it was my first time trying it and I ordered one of their pastries. Employees were nice and friendly. I will definitely go back .

Great coffee and super laid back vibe. I wish I lived in the neighborhood so this could be the regular spot…I’ll just have to settle for when I’m in the area.Highly recommend the Death Wish if you like espresso and cream. So good. Bagels are tasty, we got the breakfast sandwich (pro tip…add cream cheese to it).
