We can't fit something sweet and found it in the turnover. We didn't realize they had different fillings until we got back to the hotel. I enjoyed mine with apple filling, but my husband couldn't figure out the flavor of his filling. I would go again.

They are known for their bomb tacos and bread. We decided to eat there, & I noticed two roaches on the floor by the windows after I had already ate my taco ?I started looking around, & it’s so filthy, missing outlets, etc.

First timer! I wasn’t planning on getting food at this place. I was going to go to another place next to it. But decided to give this place a try. We ordered two tortas. One was ham and the other chorizo. Also ordered a strawberry milkshake and a mango agua fresca. The food and drinks were really good. We really liked that the bread wasn’t stale. The portions were big too. Definitely will come back. Only thing thing they really need to work on is renovating the location. It looks pretty beat up. Other than that, a good Mexican food spot.

The outlets don’t work and they were out of bottled water. The cubano torta is life-changing. 5 stars.

Highly recommend their breakfast and lunch items! The price look expensive at first glance, but the portion size is huge. I can tell the chefs truly put in effort to make great food. 5/5

A lovely place to go for breakfast in San Jose. The staff were very friendly and helped me choose, as I hadn’t had a Mexican breakfast before. Food was cooked to order and was quick.I chose a sausage and egg burrito and it was fantastic! The sausage is ground up with a little chorizo, the eggs light and fluffy with some cheese and some salsa and avocado to top it off!The baked goods there looked amazing, and I will be going back to sample them soon!

Great little spot in downtown San Jose. Their breakfast burritos and pan dulce are great. They definitely do not skimp on portion sizes. Plenty to eat with each order.

The place is in a very bad spot downtown.Homeless abound. However, the tortas are sooooo worth it.The very best in San Jose.I love the "milanesa",It's breaded steak. Man! It's soooo good! And they put so much Meat in there. No rice, no beans. Just the meat and toppings of your choice.I would recommend them 100%.

I walked by this today and really wanted to go in, but a filthy homeless guy had dropped the blanket he was wearing in the doorway and was just inside the door, I think bothering people for money, and would not move so it was impossible to go in. Something has to be done about the bums downtown because I'm sure this is not the only business they are scaring customers away from.

Mexico Bakery is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that offers assortments of Mexican food, including sandwiches, conchas, burritos, and many more! They are most notable for their tortas! I've had the milanesa and asada torta ($13), but prefer the milanesa. It's thinner and not as heavy, especially when it's a whopping load of food! It's filled to the brim (along with the meat) with tomato, jalapeno, onion, avocado, and queso. This torta is enough for two meals or shared!!! Each bite is a mouthful of heaven with all of these savory flavors. Whenever I come here, I usually take it to-go, because the dining area isn't very clean. Service is straightforward, where you order and wait for food. Definitely give it a try, because you're getting a bang for your buck with this flavor overload!

Torta!! FULL of the good stuff, they don't skimp on you! These things are massive and so delicious. It includes a big ol piece of cheese, tomato, avocado, and ALOT of meat. It's thick lol. I paid $13 for one. It's definitely big enough for two meals. I've tried the milanesa (breaded meat) and the asada (beef) and personally like the asada more but they're both excellent! Get it with the red sauce and green sauce if you like a little kick!
