Henry's World Famous Hi-Life

DO NOT RECOMMEND.
They ask how you want your steak cooked, but don’t actually care. I asked for medium-rare, got a dry, well-done steak. When I sent it back, they made a huge scene in the open kitchen, which was extremely uncomfortable. The replacement came out basically raw, and the waiter admitted they did it on purpose so they could “fix it” if we complained again. Completely unprofessional, and I’ll never return.

One of my favorite spots in SJ. We went for my birthday on the 29th of July, I was more than impressed this visit with the host and server staff Jorge! Completely attentive and hospitable. They made the table wait well worth it, well maybe the food did then of course the customer service!

After several years of not eating here. Nostalgic smells of the smoky BBQ, Oak wood and tasty garlic bread with dipping sauce was Fire... Henry's has a much more offerings on there menu then I recall but they deliver.. The house salad is simple but amazing , prime rib perfectly cooked and a side of Au ju... dont miss an opportunity to visit a San Jose landmark

High-quality steaks, chicken, and ribs in the little italy section of San Jose. A little different setup. Go in and take a number. Wait for your number to be called and place your order, where they'll take your name. Wait for your name to be called, and you'll be taken back to your seat. From there, the food comes fast. Note: you order from the wall, but it doesn't list everything (e.g. - Mac n' cheese, which is really good). Ribs were great. Sirloin was decent.

So the hi-life has been there my entire life and it never fails even back in the day when flooding used to be a problem they would rally and become even more awesome. Every time I come to town it's my very first stop I literally go from the airport to the Hi-Life and as always they deliver amazing food and a fabulous atmosphere with super great employees! This will continue to be in my very first stop anytime I travel into the state and back home as long as they exist 😊
