The Universal Vlog

I have worked for multiple years with Kj’s and still to this day I go and encourage this business. I love the interaction that each café brings to its customer and feel much more attached to it than a large company like Starbuck or Peets that just wants a reputation and do not bring any specific interest to its customers. I will always do the extra mile to get my coffee there and feel welcome to any of KJ’s locations. ?

Best class I've ever had for journalism. Hard work but worth it.

This is the coffee cart in San Jose. They're friendly. Prices fine. Decent selection of grab and go lunch items if you're in a hurry.

I am a picky eater due to my stomach's extra sensitivity. And I immediately can feel when the milk is not fresh in my mocha. Today I had mocha in this café, it was mmmmmm perfect! Not too over-roasted coffee, fresh milk, not too sweet as I requested. And there was freshly made PB&J sandwich. My friend had Asian chicken sandwich, which was yummy too. Cashier guy was very friendly and funny!

Generally, this place has been a plus at San Jose City College, which is the only coffee source I visit on campus, despite the prices. Most of the sandwiches are good, and the service is always fast and pleasant. While I am fine with the chicken wraps I've had, I discovered twice that the breakfast burritos - although fresh - are simply, absolutely tasteless: no salsa and no cheddar or jack, nothing along the lines of a few spices, so I'm avoiding them; the high price should offer flavor of some kind. Guess I will plan on ciabatta sandwiches, wraps, or salads because I prefer it over the dismal cafeteria on campus.

I like supporting local businesses and make an effort to come here while at City Hall, but...I'm rarely impressed with the quality of espresso drinks. My recent latte tasted of watery milk, zero coffee flavor. Service is often inconsistent depending on who is working. I do not order anything other than coffee here.

KJ's coffee is the GOAT. The baristas were friendly, and service was quick and price was fair.

Worst cafe to get your coffee. If you are a coffee lover, go to Starbucks or peet's instead. Dont ever get their ice coffee. Again, dont ever get their ice coffee.

The employees are always very nice and keep it very clean but its too expensive! Prices are outrageous for a coffee cart. Also they run out of everything very quickly. Good luck if you stop by on your afternoon break! Probably nothing left but the things everyone else avoided!

This cafe is located at Mission College. They have two locations: inside Gillmor Center & inside the Student Engagement Center. Both are way overpriced which isnt fair given students are their main customers. I ordered a decaf chai latte with almond milk (I cant have dairy) and it was $5!!! This was a small- they charged $3.50 for the drink, $.80 for the espresso shot (which I thought came with the drink, I did say DECAF), and then .60 for almond milk. I tipped her $1 so this $6 decaf latte was my last at this place. It isn't even that much at Starbucks or Peets. Unbelievable- refuse to shop here again.

While I generally like this place due to friendly staff and convenience, today I got a Veggie Burrito filled with sausage. Not okay. Especially as a vegetarian. I find the lack of proper labeling unacceptable. I won't be returning for any of their prepackaged foods.

I just had to acknowledge the awesome customer service at the KJ's Cafe in San Jose City Hall. The man behind the counter was friendly, not just to me, but it seemed like he was best friends with everyone in line. It was so refreshing to see a barista smiling and laughing for a change. I was having a lousy day and he literally flipped my mood.  My double cap was perfectly made, and particular because good foam is hard to do. I was happy to hear they use organic , Equator brand coffee - so, so good. Totally recommend. I will definitely be back
