I was there right before it closed. The staff was breezy and charming and that was its main draw. P*** water? I didn't see any p*** water everything was clean and relaxing. I wish they hadn't been bought out

Seems like the Red Lobster on Almaden is permanently closed not temporarily as stated on here and their website. Signage on the door directs everyone to the Capitol/Aborn or Milpitas locations. The signage has been removed from the building too as of today. That said much like the now gone Chevys across the way, I remember when them and the Red Lobster here were always busy (complete with a wait to get a table) in their hey day. Toward the end neither had a wait and it was a walk in and get seated more or less, certainly odd given how Red Lobster was always packed as was Chevys. Need to see now what will rise in Red Lobsters place as it's on a prime spot along Almaden Expressway.

This is the first time I have eaten at this chain, I know they have been around a long time, but the place was old on the inside, the menu needs to be updated, and the menu that was given to me, had food stuck to it.... The prices were good, but the selection was not that great. Everything had shrimp with it, and they even ran out of popcorn shrimp.....If I want seafood, I think I will go to another place......

The restaurant was freezing, the service was ultra slow, the wait person made at least two mistakes, the coleslaw was tasteless, the Walt's shrimp were soggy on the bottom. I informed my husband that his birthday dinner next year is gonna have to be somewhere else!

Normally our dinners here are great. Last night's- not so much. Baked potato was smothered in sour cream, when my husband specifically stated butter only. Clam strips were too “bready” and greasy. My broiled scallops were swimming in butter. We had no fault with the server.

My first time coming to a Red Lobster and my last time. I am not sure how I have not been to one in all my years but I don't think I missed anything. The food was gross and the service was super slow. Our waiter kept disappearing on us and it was not like they were busy. They forget our water, the shrimp tasted funny, the Italian dressing tasted just like oil...and no one finished their food. The saving grace was the cheddar biscuits which were good. Overall, a disappointing visit.

I usually love their cheese biscuits, but this time they were very dry. We told our waiter and he got us a new batch which was very good. He was friendly and great at taking care of us. We were 2 older women and have found that getting a waiter's attention is not always easy so we tipped him well. He was very appreciative, and told us sometimes wait staff don't think older people tip well so they avoid their tables, He said he loves older people no matter what but especially loved that we took care of him.So, older people, if you can, tip good servers well. It will help all of us.

The food is great. But they don't have enough hands to serve the customers.

Walked in at 3:20 pm today and the place was to dark and no TV's . I ask the receptionist about the bar why no tv or bar was closed and she said the TV's are broken. Just wow?
The service was good except the errors made on our order. However, the waiter was quick to fix those errors. The salad the last three times I've been here has been brown. The seafood is rubber, especially the lobster, even though they charge 17.99 for it. The biscuits were not cooked in the middle. The green bean appetizer was disgusting. I was expecting tempura breading, instead it was cheap bread crumbs. My kids chicken tenders were dried out and the batter on them still had an uncooked white flour quality.I go here a few times a year and since covid this restaurant has gone down hill more and more each time I visit. Not sure if I'll go back now since it's expensive and the food has turned into a bad Denny's. You can't be a seafood restaurant that serves it's seafood overcooked, with a rubber consistency. They've also added their side salad as a side instead of it being part of the meal with two sides ...then it's brown almost bad lettuce.

Ordered togo, scheduled a time for pick up. Waited 30 mins for them to "make the biscuits." Once open, biscuits were still raw, shrimp had a fishy smell, and the shrimp pasta tasted like it was frozen and then microwaved. Girlfriend got food poisoning throwing up the next morning. Stay away!

I enjoyed their wide menu variety. And, friendly service.

If I had a choice there would be no stars! We were seated at 3::25 pm. We were never acknowledged. Not even offered water. We asked a wandering bus boy if we could get a server to place a drink order. He walked away and no one ever came. We walked out at 3:45 pm. Never going there again. End of story!

I had not been to this Red Lobster before, but my sister insisted so we went. It was crowded. Waited to be seated about 25 mins. Our waiter was slow. Biscuits were hard, too crumbly and dry. We ordered 2 orders of Fish and Fries (Friday special) and 2 plates of the shrimp special. My mom and sister enjoyed the shrimp with bacon special. My nephew got fish and fries... his food came first ... hot fresh and good. Then my fish and fry plate came ... cold fries and RAW fish! Yuck. Returned plate to cook again... plate came back after I talked to my waiter and the manager ...30 mins later. Everyone was done eating in my party. I could not eat my fish and fries. They were hot and cooked through but I just packed it all to go. Disappointed. I was given coupon to return from the manager... maybe when and if I return I can give a better review.
