Yes families can be comfortable and casual. Atmosphere is beautiful and classic, like stepping into a Time Machine back to the late 50s-early 60s.Service was great! Which we needed after being treated without care at a place called O’Flarretys in San Pedro Square. The waiter, Travis was helpful and caring: made sure my Dad got what he needed and offered helpful suggestions like tonic and bitters for an upset stomach. He showed experienced service. I appreciated it!Original Joes is an upscale Italian diner masked as a fancy restaurant downtown open later than the others. It’s consistent and you can count on it! If it’s not landmarked it should be. Hope it’s always there… aging like a fine wine. Thanks Original Joes

Really regret choosing this place on our date night. Food was disgusting, all of it even the bread which they brought out cold. The waiter we had to flag down twice because he didn't ever stop and ask if we needed anything. He wasn't really busy either.

Longtime - huge fans of OJ's in downtown. popped in for dinner last Saturday night and was amazed at the line to get in. Still so popular. We had the best waiter, the best meal,everything was impeccable. No wonder it’s so popular. The chicken piccata was out of the world, all of us raved about our entrées.
