This place is wonderful!Teske's has an authentic, fantastic and relaxing German vibe with authentic food and drink. You won't regret going here if you're in the mood for German food or beverages, or a chill friendly atmosphere. ?My wife and I are vegetarian so we haven't had their non-veg entrees, but the pretzel and potato cakes are delicious!

What a wonderful jewel in downtown San Jose! I had the Sauerbraten with spatzle and red cabbage. The beef was moist and full of flavor and didn’t need a knife to slice. While vacationing in Germany last summer, I became a spatzle fiend and this did not disappoint. Their selections of German beer was pleasing as they had Fruh Kolsch which I enjoyed while in Cologne. Teske’s brought back a lot of great memories of my vacation last summer. Will be back to try more of their delicious food!

I'm sitting here waiting for a table with my kids and won't get seated until my friend arrives even though the restaurant is not full. I guess they don't like kids or families. I can't review the food because the service sucks so bad.

Sat down at the ‘high’ bar as I was told not to sit at the lower tables because the waiter did not want to walk around the bar. At the end was charged for 2 and a half drinks although I only had one.

I took my parents here who visited from Germany to celebrate my mom's birthday. We were greeted very friendly and seated right away, even though we arrived earlier as our reservation. Food and drinks were excellent and brought some childhood memories back. Service was amazing, fast and super friendly. All in all we had a wonderful night and will definitely be back for more.

Food is German food and not my favorite but it is decent. Fun German band plays on the patio during Oktoberfest.

Excellent service, authentic food and beautiful restaurant. My only negative is the tables are a bit close together . If you are wanting authentic German cuisine this is the place to go.

It had been nearly 9 years since our last visit (because we moved far away) and we were not disappointed with the great food we remember having. Our host Jeff H. was great. We can see that they still get very busy on Saturday (we were there on a no SJ Sharks game night) and it makes happy to see that they're doing well. As for food, ours was extremely tasty. We had the Potato Pancakes to start, the Pork Roulade and the Sauerbraten as our meals and top it with the Black Forest cake. Very very delicious, all of them. We strong recommend them.

There’s no host to seat you so you stand there. Asked the bar staff if we wait to be seated and they said the host will seat you. Stood there for 10 minutes along with 2 other groups coming in behind us also just standing there. Walked out because what kind of service is that? Enjoy

Dunno why Google thinks this is a hotel. It's a German restaurant. Good good and beer.

The rotisserie chicken was very dry, would not recommend. They should have gone to Costco and purchased theirs. The breaded pork cutlet was good, nothing to rave about. We went to celebrate Octoberfest, loved the band and the energy. Worth going for but stick to the appetizers.
