Not only was the service par and the food average... but their alarm has gone off 4 times this week and the very early morning hours. It has also occurred on a weekly basis for the past several months. It appears to be an ongoing problem that they are not competent enough to correct. It also apparent they have very little regard for the neighbors living in the area.

I'm still thinking about their pasta, trying to replicate something similar at home during this shelter at home. The flavors here are kind of generic but still good overall. The environment is nice for get-togethers, so I feel some of the pricing goes into that. Drinks are above average too. If I head to south bay I might go again.

This place is super unique and one of my favorite stops in Seattle after the dinner rush. Very simple menu of an assortment of pies and really good mixed drinks. The apple crumb pie is my favorite and it's cooked perfectly. All you need to do is walk right up to the window and shop for a good piece of pie! You'll get a nice piece of pie on a to go plate with a fork so you can continue on your journey as you indulge. you can also go inside that has a few seats if you want a nice dessert experience with a drink. We tried their chocolate martini and it was made really well. The only downside to going inside is that your potential to have another piece of pie just went up! That being said, the strawberry rhubarb pie is sooooo goooooood!

I come here once a week. I find all the employees that I have come into contact with to be very friendly and professional. My favorite server is a young lady named Megan. My friend and I always ask for a table where she is the server. This restaurant is very clean and well kept. Staff always welcomes with a "Hi and how are you today". Megan is actually the main reason that we started coming here!! (and will continue to do so). Karen

A great place for large groups. Love the patio for family gatherings. Lots of choices for good food.

Well, it was another disappointing experience at The Blue Door. We live in the neighborhood, so it is appealing to have an upscale restaurant in the area. We walked in at 8:30pm on a Saturday night, we wait for a few minutes for the owner to get up from her seat working on files of some kind. She offers to have us sit at a booth that is dirty with left over dishes from the previous guests. We opted to sit in the lounge instead. We patiently waited for service for 15 minutes while listening to the live band (only good reason to visit). Finally, we got up to leave and the owner was nice enough to say good bye but oblivious to the fact that that we were leaving because the placed had failed miserably. I stopped and told the owner that we were leaving because there were no servers in the lounge. She didn't try to stop us or offer us any service... but she did say goodbye. Apparently, she doesn't care about the service aspect of the business and that is clearly why they have never been busy enough to fill the place. Good luck

The Blue Door is a super fun brunch spot. The bar area is welcoming as beautifully decorated. Actually the entire restaurant is well decorated. The bartender Wyatt is so fun! He makes a mean chocolate espresso martini and always ensures our bottomless mimosas stay full. We come every weekend just to hang with him (and the food is decent to ) Breakfast brunch or lunch this is a great spot for a fun playlist, yummy drinks and a good meal! Haven't tried dinner yet but I plan to.

Disrespectful server spoiled our experience there. The restaurant offer Good food and a good atmosphere, but the server we had ruined it all. I came here with friends and one of us has a baby. We came here pretty often because of the location and space are great for kids. We came around noon, and the restaurant was not busy at all. however, the server we got is absolutely disrespectful and seemed to want us to leave the moment we arrived. Our water was never refilled, and he didn't bring my tea after I reminded him twice. Before we even finish our food, he brought the check back and kept coming back every 5 to 10 min to ask if we were ready to pay. When I finally paid and trying to divide the cost among friends. He was pacing back and force behind me and making disrespectful noise. The only thing that the server did was took our orders. I was not going to tip him, but I had to because I was the only man in the group and having an infant with us, and I didn't want to take any chance. Eventually, I had to complain to the manager. She took great care of us. the 10 mins service we got from her was 10x better than the service we received( none) for the past two hours. The manager also serves tables and I would ask her whenever I come back next time. I would not recommend the server we had. He wears glasses and has a tattoo on his wrist. The tattoo is a Chinese word means "trust". I certainly would not trust him at all.

Great live music, delicious food and fantastic service!
I feel bad giving them a bad review. We have been there several times and I feel like this place is kinda going down hill. 1. The drinks - I got a cucumber drink .. it was ok .. probably wouldn't order it again. 2. I got the sea bass it had ZERO flavor where I had to use the Greek yogurt sauce ( from my husbands plate) to flavor it. 3. The live music was terrible. Very slow depressing music. Not what I wanted to hear on a date night ! 4. The dessert, a Greek apple dessert .. all I tasted was oily dough. I hate giving this restaurant a bad reviews especially since I have eaten here several times and it was wonderful times before.

This place sucks!!! I will never go back here again. It ruined my Valentine's Day. I had a reservation at 9pm didn't get seated till 10pm. We order two starters, the first one came to the table 45mins later the other never mabe it. We didn't get our cold food until 11:15pm over cooked. What a night stay clear of this place.

Extremely dissapointing experience at Blue Door. 1. They forgot our bread. 2. They forgot our bread again. 3. Got our entree wrong. 4. They forgot our dessert. 5. 30 minutes later, they forgot our dessert again. Infuriating service. I've never felt so held hostage by a restaurant before. Good lord...

This was my first time eating at The Blue Door and will certainly be my last. To begin with, we had to tell our waiter twice to refill our waters. The waiter forgot the first time and did it the second time. Although, the waiter remembered the second time, it literally took over 30 minutes to refill our waters. Secondly, the food took forever to come. Our orders got mixed up (we did not know this until 1 hour after we ordered the food which is when we had to flag the waiter down) and had to wait longer. Finally, it took well over the necessary amount of time for the waiter to grab our bill. We were sitting for a very long time wanting to leave and it wasn't until 10-15 minutes after the waiter grabbed our bill. If no one believes us, there was a family sitting next to us that sat down only with water just to leave after their orders haven't been taken for the longest time.

So I should have listened to the yelp rating. We went to another local restaurant and the waiter told us he worked here Anne the food was great. He felt the reviews on blue door were wrong. So we tried it. Somehow we got there for happy hour and had the old fashioned, it had no taste but alcohol. Not what you would expect out of a nice place. We then went to the brussel sprouts which were good but a kinda sweet. We went on the fish tacos and they had no kick or flavor beyond the fish. Ended with the waffles and chicken which were really chicken with buffalo sauce on waffles. Very disappointing. Service was great and responsive but the food leaves a lot to be desired. If you are going for happy hour drinks and don't care as much for the food then it is a fine place. Not a place to choose to go to.
