We had various of dishes here and they were all delicious. Although this place was pricy we still visited from time to time. However since the only young cashier left, there was zero customer service.I ordered frozen Cabbage with Egg, Mushroom and Silk Noodle Dumplings to go. They gave me meat dumplings. I thought that might just be a simple mistake so I went back for an exchange. No problem. One month later I asked if they have Veggie Pie (the one with chives) in stock. One of the old guys yelled at me and said they never had this item. He said that I should have known as a frequent customer. Even though a “Veggie Pie Available” paper clearly posted in front of the register, I didn’t want to argue with a grumpy old man. I just bought the cabbage dumpling and left.I was very hungry and quickly boiled the dumplings when I got home. It was meat dumplings again. Huge disappointment. I will never go back.
For northern Chinese food, this restaurant tops the list in the Bay area. If you haven't gone, you're missing out on an authentic experience of noodles, dumplings, and buns.I came on a Monday evening to get noodles. I have not had a better 炸酱面 / Zha Jiang Black Bean Noodle anywhere else. The sauce tasted very on point, identical to what I've had in Beijing. The noodles were handmade with a great bite. Best spot in the Bay area if you're craving Zha Jiang Mian!! ?The Couple's Delight was full of numbing and savory meats with no filler. Green beans were also perfectly sauteed.Portion sizes are generous for the price. Definitely will be coming here more often!
The food is very salty. The server has no experience so they kept sending us the wrong dish, despite their efforts. Many customers had to wait for their food for over 30-40 minutes because of mix up of food sent to the wrong table. We won't visit this place again.
Delicious and authentic, with large portions and friendly service
I ordered sheep soup and three kinds of dumplings, everything was delicious! Dumplings were juicy, packet with flavor, bigger than I thought! What matters to me, the place is also very kids friendly, the older people who work there have lots of patience for kids who drop cutlery or napkins. Highly recommend.
Delicious. The food tasted so much better than the typical Chinese restaurant where every dish is sweet.I can’t wait to come back!!!
Great dumplings at a reasonable price. Their lamb skewers are also delicious. Highly recommend.Note: they close from 2-4pm which Google doesn’t always reflect. Also, the staff does not speak English but you can order by scanning a barcode on the table and using their online menu while at the restaurant, so no issues.
Portion is half the size for boiled sliced beef and tripe in chili sauce compared to other restaurants. Over priced.
New menu and you can order with barcode, delivered to your table. Recommend the Pork and Sauerkraut fried (potsticker) style.
It’s so nice to have an authentic Chinese restaurant here in south San Jose!We got the lamb and green onion pot stickers, three deluxe dumplings, beef noodle soup, and green onion pancakes.Everything was delicious!
Restaurantji Recommends
Really good dumplings, Bao, hot and sour soup and pea shoots! Staff don't speak English, but don't let that deter you from trying this place. I really like the low key location!
I ordered takeout only and food was great. Hope to enjoy on site next time.
Nice restaurant, pretty much Shandong style dumplings.
Not recommend. Very bad customer service, the lady in charge of cashier, very bad service attitude. The food too expensive, you can not ask. It’s not worth for the price.
Legit dumplings. A rare find in south San Jose.
