Such a lovely experience! It's a little expensive and the selections, while beautiful contain food choices that would not logically appeal to most diners (mushroom sandwich, caviar on salmon, for example). I loved the wide range of choices but my guest could not eat everything, sadly. All so fresh and creative!!
I have to admit I am a little bias as I was the Director of Events & Catering at the Huntington Library for almost 10 years so the Rose Garden Tearoom is personal to me, it was my office and the heartbeat of the Gardens. I've been there a few times and every other experience was wonderful. This time the bread was stale, and the service was inattentive until the very end when I asked for the bill. The front desk personnel were fine, but the server didn't seem to know anything about Tea or the food he was serving.
