The place offers a nice variety of delicious food. I loved eating here. The employees are always very nice, pricing is fair and the spot is always well organised.

A great Peruvian place in downtown San Mateo. Really good food, friendly service, and good prices. A good selection choice on the menu and the specialty drinks are fantastic. I love this place. It seems some have reported this place is closed, I hope not, it would be a shame.

Family owned from Peru. As authentic as it gets. Dessert menu is delicious and just like in Peru. Highly recommended.

This is now called something else. Taka taka Peruvian or something like that... New ownership? Still Peruvian food tho. Service was friendly but slow. I went in with a friend. Place is a hole in the wall. Decor is dated and there are only about 6 tables. When we went there was like 2 other tables. We ordered a couple things. The plantains and empanada were ok. My friend ordered a chicken dish with rice and beans. That was way more flavorful than my dish. I got the seafood over a coconut curry dish. That was no bueno. No flavor and the seafood didn't look the best. Even the green sauce couldn't save it. I like mom and pop places but the food was lacking in flavor. I don't think I'd return.

This place is a mess. Waiter claimed he and the chef were new. Whatever ..We were literally served a cold eloté w/o the roast pork it was advertised with. Waiter explained that the restaurant was "out of pork." We sent bunk eloté back and we tried ordering something else. Waiter comes out and says the chef got his pork order in -- item will be corrected. Y'all they put what looked like bacon bits on the damn thing. Offensive- $8 for what exactly? To top it off, Waiter spills some of the dressings on my friend's lap, over her cashmere, as the sh-t fake eloté rolls off the undersized wooden cutting board it's being served on. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. So embarrassing bc I insisted we try it out based on recs. ASK THEM EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE ORDERING BC THEY PLAY GAMES. Hate this place now

This place is delicious! A true hidden gem in the East end, with an amazing happy hour. The service is a little hit or miss sometimes though. I have been here for both lunch and dinner. I like the lunch combos they have the chicken and rice dish was amazing.

Everything is super delicious. Authentic Peruvian food! The staff is so nice and makes the whole experience even better! The only this is you do have to make sure you're calling on the staff if you need something. But I mean that just shows how busy they are! they're people to!! freaking cry about it!! other than that the food is bomb!
