Ben Tre is like a dog. It will always be there for you, through the good times and the bad. It will always be by your side, and it will always bring energy into your life. Been to several locations and if you can't tell by now always my go-to for some reasonably priced good viet food with hearty portions.

Rice plate pork chop over rice was terrific combination of flavors pork chop has a sweet and salty taste along with white rice and mix veg just wish they gave you a dressing to go along it.

This is just a review for their takeout, but I can tell that covid has definitely played a role in quality and portion size. What used to be a big bowl of their deluxe pho is now a scant bowl of hardened noodles and a couple pieces of meat. The flavor of the broth is still there, but hopefully when things get back to normal, they'll stand out amongst the pho giants again. Until then, Yummy Yummy is still king, takeout or otherwise.

Oh, Ben Tre, how happy I am to finally be able to return to your spacious dining room to enjoy a ginormous bowl of steaming hot pho. I always get the #16, Pho Tai, with meat on the side and you never disappoint. The broth is amazing, if not addicting, the sprouts/herbs are plentiful and you never skimp on the meat. Of course no meal is complete without a Thai Iced Tea, which is always perfection here, in my opinion. Can't wait to go back! (Now will you please open a location in Half Moon Bay? We are desperate for Vietnamese food here!)

Probably the best Vietnamese food in san mateo... everything I've tried here has been great, and their portions are amazing too, lots of meat in the pho/soups. Even the spring rolls with pork were packed with meat, and the vermicelli. They definitely don't skimp on protein!! The beef carpaccio, spring rolls, chicken wings and banh xeo are some of my favorites, along with the five spice chicken (you gotta try this).

I have been doing take out from Ben Tre. Many items are great for delivery. I like Pho, Crab soup noddles, grilled pork with rice noodles.

Nice location in downtown San Mateo but parking is an issue because B Street is closed to cars. The service is quick. Wish the Garlic Noodles were more strongly garlic flavored. Pho was good with lots of meatballs and beef.

Fail, watched chef plating to go boxes and not wearing a mask. Was offered a refund but they did not know how to process refund on cash register. The person who took my order and tried to process the refund was very nice. He needs to be shown how to process a refund. It was not his fault. Management needs to fix this. I'm sad because this is one of my favorite restaurants and I have supported this place during Covid. I will not return.

This restaurant has been one of go-to places whenever I'm craving Vietnamese food. They are always pretty quick and accurate on their to-go ETA pick up times (about 15 mins). I normally get one of the following items: - Grilled pork vermicelli - Ben tre deluxe pho - 5-spice chicken with noodle soup (pho) Each one is so flavorful and delicious. I would recommend any of these. This place also gives a healthy portion, so expect to be full when you order for here!

Beef pho is less flavorful than their ssf location. Got food poisoning from the garlic noodles.
