Just ate an appetizer - the polenta and it was piping hot and deelish. I had plans to eat with a friend later elsewhere but was starving and thought this was a place I could wait to get a coffee and use their WiFi to do some work. Apparently it's not a coffee house anymore despite the name. The owner was friendly and raved about his Moroccan pizza so I want to try it next time!

Kaffeehaus appears to be pivoting with the times and turning into a restaurant. BUT: You'll have to search for the menu. Cafe food here (such as the smoked salmon open-faced sandwich) was good in the past, so I'm thinking the restaurant options are also good. I just don't understand why the food offerings aren't communicated on the walls, posted menus, etc. No particular theme is communicated. I've been a regular here on weekend evenings for a couple months. It's shocking how few people are eating here. The food is not just good, but really good, even great. The Kobe burger is about as good as any burger I've had anywhere. The pizzas are all excellent. And if the server recommends a seafood special, believe him -- we've never been disappointed. Also, the draft beers are superb.
