So disappointed!! What looked good turned out to be massively disappointing. The Ube crinkle cookie was a sad, soft, unsweet experience, and the Ube mochi was absolutely inedible. Nothing like I’ve come to delight in at other places, such as Café 86. The coconut ice cream was good but crazy expensive ($6.35 for the kiddie scoop)! I had hoped to find another nice dessert place, but this is not it.

Great local spot. I take my niece there after her art class and bond over some ice cream. Service is excellent, location is very clean. The other desserts look amazing too. Can't wait to try em in future visits

I ordered a lemon cake a week in advance for a surprise birthday party. The presentation was nice but the cake and even the cream turned out stale, at least couple of days old. It was embarrassing because there were guests who are professionals in the food industry. I would not pay $70 for this quality again.

I love this bakery! The cakes and ice cream are absolutely delicious. They are on the lighter side of sweet but packed with flavor and wonderful seasonal surprises. The style is a great blend of eastern and western influences. Service is also friendly and responsive. I ordered cakes for my kids birthday. While the cake art is not as sharp as other bakers that specialize in design, it's perfectly decent if you want a good custom cake to top with your own toppers and very reasonably priced. I bring my kids here all the time for a treat or dessert.

I needed a cake and I needed it for a birthday party 2 days later. This bakery was my saving grace. The online ordering form was very easy to fill out and the pre made ice cream cakes were available pretty much day of or next day. They even call and ask you if you would like a message written on the cake! Pickup was very smooth. And then the cake itself was super good!! Matcha ice cream was very creamy and the ube cake added a nice texture. Definitely recommend for any occasion.

I've tried several cakes here including the mango mousse and carrot cake and love that they're not overly sweet and made just right. They sell individual pieces too so you can sample them before committing to a full-size cake. Nice dessert variety in addition to cake - also offers yogurt, ice-cream, cookies and the like. This shop is sandwiched in the corner of Laurelwood Shopping Center (off of hwy 92 and Hillsdale Blvd), right next to Piazza's Fine Foods. It's a quiet, supremely clean shop. Surprisingly whenever we pass by it's fairly empty but it's been around for awhile, so we decided to try them out. Also for this birthday cake, we wanted to opt for ordering from a non chain location. We're super glad we decided to order from Simple Delights. First of all, it is rare to see an ube/matcha combination ice cream cake so we had to give that a try! Pick up was a piece of cake and the service was great. The cake itself was quite tall and ratio-wise it was heavier on the matcha ice cream and smaller on the ube cake surrounding it. The cake was topped with cream and a small sprinkle of sprinkles. Overall solid choice. If you haven't yet, give this place a try!

Ordered a strawberry shortcake online to be picked up in 4 days. They have several options to customize your cake and the online ordering system made it so easy. They sent out notifications to keep me updated on the status of the cake. We actually had the cake the day after we picked it up and it was still delicious. Highly recommend coming to them for your cake needs!

Ordered a gender reveal cake from simple delights but they RUINED my surprise! I gave them an envelope with the gender written in it. When I picked up the cake, the invoice slip was taped on the box included the gender / color of the cake clearly written on the slip ?. The surprise was RUINED! It was ridiculous! When client orders a surprise cake (like gender reveal!!), these thoughtful details cannot be overlooked! Even though they gave me partial refund back (20%), the surprise moment was ruined already! I’m so disappointed and will NOT order from them ever again.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Every thing they have is beautifully made and tastes delicious. My favorite is the chocolate crinkle cookie and the butter Mochi. I plan to get my daughters 7th birthday cake from here next year. It's so close to my house and it's so convenient to stop on my way home to pick up a sweet treat for dessert!
