Pretty decent chai tiramisu but I couldn't really taste the chai and the cream was not of the highest quality. Still quite delicious.

The croissant egg sandwich with arugula, cream cheese, and tomato was freshly made and delicious ? my sister at the Brookside nursing facility really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Really cool cafe and not your average corporate Starbucks. Good Kona coffee. Tasty little fudge type pastries called Barfi. The name is weird but the smooth grained texture is melt in your mouth. Recommend!

Super cute cafe, comfortable seats, tasty coffee & treats, very friendly staff! They can also make any of their drink menu with decaf coffee- perfect for those who aren’t able to indulge with full strength coffee but want to have a taste! I’m so excited to have a fun cafe in the neighborhood!

Second time here in two days for coffee. How can noone else be here? The Philipino ube yam bread roll, Pan de Sal, is just-right-tiny-bit sweet, with matcha filling! Refreshing, even invigorating. And the homemade East Indian-Philipino fusion milk-based, ube-coconut barfi was just-right-sweet. Other flavors of barfi, too; thank you for the peanut butter and pistachio samples! All new to me.San Fran's Jeremiah's French roast, Kona, and house blend are daily standards, with other coffee drinks from a manageable menu. Seasonal coffees, too, I'm told. Hm, maybe early morning TurboTax and French roast with organic cream. The music was a perfect background volume. Soft Jazz tempo, curated new arrangements of English, French, and Punjabi music.Comfy chairs and sofa to read in or gaze at your friend over the in-between table. And a puzzle to ponder to help regain your focus.

Tried all four empanadas and the different pan de sal. Our favs were the bulgogi and the chili paneer. I was not a huge fan of the raisins in the longanisa one. The empanadas were definitely on the small side given the price. For the pan de sal, the cheese filled one was really good but we found the other fillings SO sweet and a bit pasty. Definitely needs to be eaten warm!

I had the ube pandesal with cheese and a warm mocha. I will come back.

Mediocre at best. Coffee is excellent, but need alot more variety of pastries.

Nice coffee shop with cozy vibes and tasty treats. The Chilli Paneer Empanadas had really good flavor. Albeit the outer covering felt a little sweet over time. The barfis were quite tasty but slightly on the pricier side IMO. Service was friendly. Definitely recommend a visit to this local business.

Looking for amazing coffee and pastries!! Look no further than Barfia on 25th Ave in San Mateo. Oh My Gosh...they are to die for! After I drop off my dog for grooming, I stop by for a coffee a treat and me time with my latest book. The chairs are comfy, Bianca is so friendly and the customer comes first. I was interested in the beautiful Indian dessert. She gave me a slice of the pistachio flavor...delicious. I took home the chocolate chip pumpkin bread for my Dad. He loved it and next time I go to 25th Ave Dad has me picking up the chocolate chip pumpkin bread. I'm already planning who I'm gifting the delicious Indian desserts too for the Holidays. Barfia is a wonderful addition to an eclectic neighborhood that is a secret that many don't share with friends because of the amazing shops, restaurants and Barfia!!

Great coffee cafe, and with fantastic extra bonus as the headquarters for beautiful and wonderful "Barfia," sweet delicacy.

So happy this gem has opened. Feels small and family owned- I've been 4 times now and it has yet to disappoint. Great coffee and pastries!

So pumped there's finally a solid coffee shop/cafe on 25th! I had high hopes and it did not disappoint. The croissant breakfast sandwiches were large and delicious! My cappuccino was yummy, though I could have gone with less milk/foam (more traditional). But the show stopper for me was the Filipino Pan De Sal with Nutella pastry served hot!We were also offered some delicious Indian treats which I'd do not recall the name. The place seems to still be coming together but off to a great start! Go eat/drink here now.
