Carne Asada Nicaragüense style was on point!!! They had Bajo and Nacatamles on the menu but they were not available when we went. Would love to see more Nicaraguan options on a regular basis. We need Nicaraguan food in the East Bay!

Long waiting, not worth the price, cash only, was shorted items I ordered and was charged for. Almost also forgot my drinks. Check your orders and receipt before leaving if you get it to go!!

Food was not that good. They were out of stock on several things listed on the menu. Won't be coming back.

I ordered a super burrito. It was overpriced with not much flavor. Two dollars for extra cheese, and there was no cheese in the burrito. Service was sub-par and slightly rude. Do not recommend and will not go there again.

First time going to this place with my fiancé . Plates looked really tasty on the window pictures so we decided to try it especially since we live close by. First thing I didn't like was the fact that it was closed but then opened up after they saw us wandering outside. But hey Thanks for opening up to serve us we sit down and the waitress gives us chips and salsa while we decide on what we want to drink/order. As I dip my chip I notice something that looked like a hair. I got grossed out so I stopped eating them (BTW the salsa was super watered down, it wasn't even spicy). Usually as soon as I see a hair I get up and leave if I haven't ordered yet but my fiancé said he thought it looked like something besides a hair and that maybe it came from a Chile. So I decided to stay. We order our drinks (1 horchata and 1 Jamaica) and when we got them we were not impressed. The Jamaica was super sour and the horchata was super sweet, like WAY too sweet. But we didn't say anything because we figured we'd just get regular water instead. So then we ordered our FOOD , I got the shrimp fajitas and my fiancé got a super burrito steak. When I get my plate I am so happy with the way it looks! My fiancé is happy with how big his burrito was too! Buuuuut of course something else was wrong. On one of my Chile's there was a sticker from the vegetable when you buy it and my fiancé's burrito was just rice and beans, no sour cream or cheese! We were so disappointed. So we decided to not even finish our plates and just pay and leave. We are never going back to this place again. Sticking to San Juan Taqueria

I paid $70 (not including tip) for three people. They charged me extra for items that are already included with dishes at other Nicaraguan restaurants! Ridiculously overpriced food! It came out to about $20 per plate for chancho adobado with queso frito, gallo pinto, salad, platanos verdes. We didn't even have any food left over! I really wanted to like and support this place but I could have had cheaper and better Nica food in SF. Won't be back!

I must say the food here is great I've only came twice but my 2nd time was agh! Not so great. So waitress was really nice BUT there was only one person working which I know it can be really hard, I really hope they hire more people or at least they get a person to help the cook because we asked for breakfast &it took more than 45 minutes to get our food &when we received it it was more cold than hot. Seriously needs some improvement. Pretty sure we wont be coming back anytime soon.

Three of us in the whole place and took 45 minutes to get our food. The rice was hard and the 7 mares was literally just water (plain non- favorable). The only good thing about this place is the service.

We stopped in here while my car was getting looked at. No other customers in there but us. We order our food and had to repeat it a few times because she doesn't speak English to well. We get our food 45 mins later. She was the only one working besides this older lady who did not understand English or no how to work. It was quite annoying. I felt really bad for her doing everything herself. Customers were coming in and as she was cooking she had to take orders, get us water etc. she told the older lady in Spanish what to do to help her bit she wasnt much help. The food was delicious. Id go back. They do have other cooks she said but they were out sick. She said it doesn't take this long to get food and she sincerely apologized.
