Food, drinks and service were great! They even have live music on Friday night. Parking is easy in the garage behind the restaurant. I will definitely be back soon.

Great drink. The EL REY is a must-have. Food was good. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly and had great taste. I recommend trying this place out. I will be going back.

Went for Taco Tuesday. It was very good. I suggest ordering water to drink because they charge $5.00 for a coke. It's unreal what restaurants are charging for drinks. My 2 kids and I, to drink here cost $14.00. The food is good and their salsa is great but won't really be back for the cost. Only 4 stars because I have only had Taco Tuesday tacos! I give those 5 stars. Chios & salsa 5 stars. And the cocktails 5 stars!! I get the old fashion & they smoke the glass!!! I love the flambé herb stick too!!! It’s been 3 years we have come to their bar. Love the bartenders too.

Delicious Mexican cuisine on 4th Street in Santa Ana, across from the Reagan Federal Building. Hosts and servers are great -- especially Daniel and Vanessa. Shortrib tacos are amazing. Super weekday lunch specials $11 a plate, with many choices. The asada quesadilla and chicken taquitos are tasty and filling. Fully recommend.

I was watching the news this morning and saw the server that was preparing to open take water the national guard troops that were posted on the street out front. A small gesture but I will remember this and will definitely visit this place the next time I am in the area. You could see the guardsmen appreciated the woman's kind gesture.
Just watched (on live stream) a young lady that works here walk out and hand service member's water that are protecting that area during the riots. She then proceeded to open the business and get to work. Thank you young lady, you're a real hero.

I put on a private event at Perla and working with Daniel (GM) was great. He was responsive, attentive and a hospitality pro. Our server, Vanessa, was a rockstar. She made sure there were no empty drinks and executed our event perfectly. The food, especially the fresh guac, was so good. Go for the food, stay for the service.
