Honestly just baffled at the fake nicety of these places on this street. I’m a middle aged blonde woman- although it shouldn’t matter and I walked in and I asked the front middle aged bartender if I could use the bathroom as I had a feminine issue and he said I needed to buy something. I can’t get over that he was the second person to do this to me. I sort of begged him and she still refused. I live in NYC, I get the bathrooms are for customers policy, but I’ve NEVER been refused the ability to use a restroom in NYC when I asked nicely. There is something wrong with the society of Santa Barbara. They may seem nice, but forget it if you need help, it’s completely fake.

They had an incredible flight with Girl Scouts cookies. Really cool. Their monkey flower DWIT was incredible with 7.6 ABV. Very dangerous and super smooth for a wheat ale.

Garbage. These guys book good entertainment and they have a policy: "no head-charge just buy somethin' will ya?"Problem is they got this lowlife self-important bouncer thats wants to effing corral you out your chair and march you to the counter to do so, probably because there'll be some kind of "tipping prompt" at said counter and said self-important bouncer wants a cut of said tip. There are no free riders, but what ever happened to, "I will pay you ten dollars to leave me alone,"?And this piece of trash has the gall to come bother patrons and tell the patrons that this bouncer is sick of the patron's attitude, while the patron is handing said money into his hand.Very poor showing. Hostility to the paying clientèle is generally frowned about. Also, this BrewCo sucks in the way that every other brewery in this town does - generic, overpriced, panders to college fools. You know a brewery is in a bad place if it has more limpid little boys trying to impress a date (with equally poor taste) than it does rugged men fleeing a nagging housewife.Word to the wise, might as well get drunk and play guitar at home if this is how State Street is going to be for the time being, economics and all. Sad state of the world.

4.5/5 stars. My boyfriend and I stopped at this brewery when we heard the incredible band - Xangie - that was playing. For the first round, I got the sour and my boyfriend got the saison, and we both loved those beers. Second round was pretty meh for us both - he got the brut and I got the seltzer, but it was WAY too sweet. It tasted like koolaid. Just a small blemish on what was an otherwise very enjoyable time stopping at this brewery. Will definitely be back on our next visit to SB!

Really beers especially West Coast IPAs, cozy tasting room, good service and they had live music on the patio which was very pleasant.

Popular place, but imo it's for the great atmosphere rather than the beer. I've gone several times a year for the last 5. Always with a group, and always a good time. They support good/diverse local musicians, have board games & a nice trivia night. A needed respite from the "club/dance" stuff on State even on weekend evenings. Nice little cherry on top of the atmosphere is that they show nature videos/NatGeo or similar on the TV instead of sports. BUT the beer has never once been something to write home about. Food not worth the price.

Loved the place. Seriously, absolutely loved the place. We were based in Isla Vista and visited them one day, liked the beer and the place. John said that the'll have special event next day, $5 per beer to celebrate their anniversary. What did I do? Rented two bikes for nearly $200 to make sure that we are their next day. And the day after. As I said, loved the place. And beer!

The beers are great here. Really enjoy the Amber on nitro. That's my favorite by far. I've played trivia here as well. Fun times...combining beers and games is always a good time. This place is located on lowerish state st. Never had the food, but am thinking of trying next time. This is probably my 3rd favorite brewery in town. If you get a chance check out third window.

Phenomenal experience and even better mission. Owner was a true enthusiast who wasn’t afraid to talk all things beer & mission. Enjoyed the atmosphere, games, an opportunity for a late night pit stop before heading home. Will be back….tomorrow!

(8-30-23) My wife and I hosted a private rehersal wedding gathering at the Night Lizard Brewery, sight unseen. All our guest were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, plus our choice of spotify music and the wide variety of beers brewed on the sight, in addition to the gracious hospitality of John Nasser, the owner. We were all from either the East Coast, Minneapolis area or Orange County. CA and reflecting back the day after the event, I'd recommend without hesitation the Night Lizard Brewery to anyone looking to have a unique private party in the popular section of Santa Barbara on State street.
