Our Server Robert was the best. After a long trying day, what you tend to want is a drink and a good meal, our server gave us that, and more. 10 Stars!Dietary restrictions: I'm a strict dialysis diet. They were very accommodating

Great food, great service, and an amazing rooftop dining area when the weather is right! We've been numerous times - pretty much anytime we're visiting SB. It's a perfect spot for couples or small groups of friends. And, while the menu is seafood/sushi heavy (great for us!) there are plenty of other options for the vegetarians and non-seafood folks in your group. We always aim to try a few new items whenever we visit, but our favorites continue to be the Crispy Korean Cauliflower, Crispy Tuna Nigiri, and our all-time favorite - the Seared Yellowtail Box Roll!

The best meal I've had in a while...5 stars across the board. Japanese fusion food with lots of the classics you'd expect from a sushi bar plus creative, scrumptuous new takes on noodles, sashimi, gyoza, sushi on crunchy rice. Try the lychee martini- fresh, delicious and not too sweet. Garlic noodles and lollipop sushi are a must! We loved everything and look forward to coming back soon to sit upstairs with the ocean view.

Everything we tried was amazing!! Whether you like the basic sushi, legit hand rolls, sashimi or cooked fish, they have all the options and everything is made perfectly! Even the appetizers like the cauliflower or the shiahito peppers that many restaurants have, they do it here waaay better. This is a MUST eat at restaurant in Santa Barbara.

This place is an absolute sushi haven. With so many different types and flavors to choose from, every sushi lover will find their sushi-love ?. Starting from traditional California and rainbow rolls to innovative creations like “everybody loved Raymond”, we enjoyed every dish we ordered. The staff were polite and prompt and the patio was warm, comfortable and great to relax in after a long walk in the colder outside

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to. Crouching Tiger roll was excellent as was the Firecracker Rock Shrimp. Suggest ordering both. The Meyer Lemon Tartlette topped off the meal perfectly. Waiter was a lot of fun and knowledgeable. We were the last one's in the restaurant and didn't feel rushed. Will definitely go again!

So I'll start by saying we did not get a good first impression at all. We arrived and asked for a table of 2, we were asked if we have a reservation and when we said no, she spent almost 5 minutes looking at her screen and discussing with her colleague where she could seat us. When we were escorted to our table, we counted about 15 empty tables between us so really not sure what that was about?! Anyway, from then on the evening got considerably better. Our waitress answered our questions about the wine and let us sample some to help us chose. The food was definitely the best Japanese food I've had and also up there with some of the best food l've ever eaten. We shared salmon, cream cheese and avocado sushi, black cod and wagyu and truffle gyoza. The food was genuinely incredible!! The service also remained consistently friendly and attentive. The prices are quite high but you really don't mind spending that much when the food is as delicious as this. Highly recommend Oku!!
