Without asking, this place was difficult to find because it is located inside a bar. We showed up closer to closing but they were very accomodating. We sat outside where live music could be heard. We ordered half/half pizza that was delicious and didn't disappoint. We didn't even let the crust go to waste.

The pies are HUGE. One easily feeds 3 hungry people. I'm all about a good crust, and theirs did not disappoint, striking a balance between crispy and chewy. The dipping sauces were delicious. The Cesar salad was also fresh, with pickled onions and big, crunchy homemade croutons.

It's inside Venus in furs. So no happy hour anymore and it sounds like they are shutting down after June 2021. So there will be a new food option there. They are only offering 3 of their pies right now. $15 for a half and $29 for a full pizza. It's a fun bar interior though and the drinks and food were delicious. Honestly the pie was one of the best I've eaten in years. Saint Milo. I hate saying any pizza is worth $28. I mean I hate it. But this pizza was WORTH IT. I will be back before they close. And I really hope they get their own restaurant someday. If you see this review in time, run, don't walk and get yourself some pizza. Honestly two people can share a half as a light meal. And for $15 for two that's one hell of a deal. Best food we've had in Santa Barbara.

We stumbled across this gem while exploring downtown. It's down a quite street and has indoor as well as outdoor dining. We had the mushroom vegan pizza. Quite tasty, and filling. They had given us three dips to have along with the pizza. The pizza crust was quite flavorful, not very cheesy as we like it.

Best Sourdough Pizza creations. Love the back patio. Very warm and welcoming. Mellow and stress free eating. Drinks are fabulous. Hope this spot receives the following it deserves.

This pizza was not good, did not have the ingredients that were listed and we waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes for it. Not sure why the reviews are good on these sites, but we definitely will not order again- never have spent so much for such a disappointing pizza pie ever!

This pizza was absolutely delicious! I ordered the saint malo along with the pesto aioli, chimichurri and ahí amarillo sauces. There was a slight kick of spiciness on the sauce that' was already on the pizza so be prepared for that if you are spicy sensitive. Yes I highly recommend the dipping sauces it does definitely change the way to enjoy and eat pizza. Somehow the flavor combinations work-one would have never thought to combine these flavors but they work. The pies easily feeds at least four people as they are hearty big slices, or two people and there will be leftovers for breakfast, lunch, dinner the following day. My only negative was that I did feel it was a little too overloaded with onions but it is not a deal breaker. I am looking forward to going back and trying other topping and sauce combos. The price is just right as this is not your typical basic pizza as they experiment with different flavors that seem to work.

Wow! Ordered for the first time last night and was blown away! Absolutely delicious! The flavors were unlike anything we have ever tasted because the sourdough crust elevated the ingredients. New go to for pizza!

We get emails from these guys, so thought we’d order a couple for the Super Bowl. Just yuck. Both were soggy, way too much garlic, and the kind of pizza that when you lift a slice, all the toppings slide right off. We ate maybe 3 pieces total amongst all of us and threw the rest in the garbage disposal. Blah.
First time trying , was recommended by friends. This pizza is HUGE for two people. The slices are large , we ate this for three days, that's not a complaint! The flavor was so yummy, the smoked oysters hold their flavor and were not dry. This dough is sourdoughy airy and light...i loved how the edges of the pizza had bread stick vibes, so perfect to dip into one of their dipping sauces. I tried their ranch, great, the vadouvan yogurt, which wasnt my favorite...and the aji amarillo which had a lil spice and tasted good. Their red sauce on the pizza is something different than others, it was flavorful. Went in for a pickup and they had a little table at the entrance with wine options which was perfect to grab without having to make any extra trips. The gentleman who gave us the order was super friendly and our pizza was ready when we arrived. Totally going to try more pizza flavors and sauces

As they warn you on their website: these pizzas are HUGE! Easily feed 3-4 hungry adults. Quality ingredients and delicious dough! Arguably best pizzas in the area!

We moved to Santa Barbara 5 years ago from Boston and have been searching for good pizza. Barb’s Pies is the best we have found so far, but we are still looking. We define “good pizza” as a thin, well-done, crispy crust covered with a thick, most-watering, flavorful tomato sauce adorned with a choice of scallops and bacon (if you have never had this combination on your pizza, it is unbelievable), or clams (not still in their shells as we once found on our pizza in Seattle!) , or, if neither bicuspids can be found, anchovies. If none of these seafood toppings are available, we enjoy atop our pizza a spicy, home-made sausage (even though declared a carcinogen by W.H.O.). We love plenty of mozzarella cheese, dripping long strings of melted cheese as you pick-up a slice of pie to insert in your mouth. Heaven. The best pizza we have ever had — our Gold Standard — is the clam pizza at The Spot (now part of Frank Pepe’s) in New Haven (CT) with virgin olive oil floating atop the slightly-burnt pie made in their wood-burning oven. Oh, but I digress. Barb’s Pies. We considered ordering the “George Benno” with smoked mussels, pork salami (‘njuda) and mozzarella, but opted instead to be healthy for the “Regina Special” with roasted eggplant and Carmody cheese. If there was any eggplant on the pie, you could have fooled me. While at least the eggplant was not breaded and fried which we have endured elsewhere, it was so finely diced that it was almost invisible. The pie was not thin and crispy, but the sourdough crust was excellent and certainly different than any pizza wow have ever had. The Carmody cheese (a Jersey cow's milk cheese styled on the lines of the Italian Gorgonzola. It is a farmstead cheese from Bellwether Farms with a firm texture and buttery flavour) was bland, but the tomato sauce was rich, thick and absolutely delicious. The size of the pie, as evidenced by its box pictured below was astonishing — big enough for 4 or, in our case, we froze half the pie for another dinner. , making the $30 cost quite reasonable compared to the $20 pizzas offered around here. fow two. Barb’s Pues offers a choice of dipping sauces, a welcome idea to go with the large amount of the sourdough crust. We like spicy snd aioli so we that’s what we chose. The idea was better than the implementation as the dipping sauce was pasty and not spicy enough for our taste. Given COVID is currently raging in Santa Barbara, we very much appreciated the delivery service. We placed our order before 5PM snd (we live about a 15 minute drive) we were eating a still-warm pizza by 6 PM! As I said, so far the best we have found in Santa Barbsra. We plan to return sometime to try a “George Benno”.
