Local establishment of many years, I've been coming here occasionally since the late 90s. Consistently good food, especially the seafood and steaks (crabcakes and calamari are fire). Service has always been consistently good or very good. The view and setting is 2nd to none in Santa Cruz. Parking is a pain on busy days, but that's just the beach area, in general. You definitely pay for the location so you can find good food a lot cheaper elsewhere if you want, but this is more than food: it's a great mix of tourists and locals, phenomenal location and atmosphere for families and mid-age folk alike. Set aside your frugality for a couple hours and you will enjoy yourself here, for sure.

It's a great lunch spot for location , if you get lucky and get an umbrella out of the sun on the terrace with a view of the water ,even better. Staff were all great ,very friendly and good service. Food was hit and miss, the chicken sandwich was really tasty , but $21 for a Caesar salad which was basically just lettuce and parmesan and afew very oily croutons, paid extra for the chicken and to be honest it was a bit rubbery ,wasn't great. With non alcoholic drinks and tip , $100 for lunch was a tad steep ( we did pay for double rubber chicken)
