Visited this fabulous little cafe for the second time during a recent visit to California. The food is delicious, the service is good and it's well priced. Cash only, so remember to visit an ATM before you go, the one in the restaurant carries a charge. Highly recommended breakfast spot in beautiful Santa Cruz!

What a fabulous place to for a sit down meal. Loved every option on the menu. The staff were over the top. Great location. Outdoor seating was perfect.

Recently had brunch. Very good potato dishes. A little cool sitting outside but it being Santa Cruz we had brought sweatshirts anyway

My girlfriend and I just went there for breakfast again this morning and as usual it was fantastic. We've been going there for 10+ years and she used to go there with her father for many years prior to meeting me. Its always been great. Consistently good every single time. They've never served us anything that wasn't delicious and the staff are all wonderful each time. Many of them have been there for a very long time. I don't know how they manage to do that so consistently. It's one of the things we miss about moving away and we'll stop in whenever we're in town. Love this place.

I’ve been coming here off and on for 25 years! Unfortunately the waiting-in-line coffee is gone, but these guys cook great eggs. Super good service. Get anything with artichokes!

Great food and super sweet staff! The cinnamon roll is to die for! Perfect for a quick and delicious breakfast to start the day

The cinnamon bun alone makes it worth the wait! However, everything else was great too! You can get the cinnamon bun as a side to your breakfast instead of toast (make this choice!). The cinnamon bun and soft and flaky like it’s make from a soft pie crust. The corned beef hash was also great. Good coffee, good freshly squeezed OJ and great homemade salsa. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we came during the week and they only have eggs Benedict on the weekends, but we will be back for the Hollandaise sauce soon!!If you don’t want to wait, get the cinnamon roll to go! It’s worth it!

I really don't understand how the reviews for this place are as high as they are. We came here for father's day after seeing the long wait at harbor cafe (although there was still at least a half hour wait for here). We sat outside with our large dog and stroller and there were plenty of heat lamps above us (it was cold that day). Anyway, I ordered the seabreeze spuds and my husband ordered the pancake combo with bacon and eggs (I believe it came with a raspberry sauce?). The waiter said that what I picked was a great choice and recommended I get it with a runny egg on top. The pancakes were very dense and dry. They looked pretty but were disappointing. The seabreeze spuds were also very disappointing with very raw mushrooms, potatoes, and bell peppers inside. The whole dish could have at least another 5 min of cook time. Coffee was decent, good enough to get a refill. We also got a slice of carrot cake which was pretty big and good flavor but was dry. Overall you're better off going to IHOP or Denny's as far as food quality goes. I noticed that the couple seated inside the restaurant ordered the exact same thing and the guy only ate the inside of his pancakes and left the rest. They also got a cinnamon roll which they didn't eat much of. I'd like to think that with basically the same foods and having not eaten that much of their food either that we weren't alone in our opinion of the food. The best part about this place was definitely the waitstaff. Our server was great and very nice and attentive. This is definitely a cute and happenin spot with a ton of foot traffic and maybe it was just an off day bc it was father's day but the food experience was super disappointing to say the least. We'll suck it up with the wait and stick to harbor next time. Also fyi cash only! They have ATMs inside.

Good food and very friendly waitresses. We got eggs Benedict, Mickey Mouse pancake and huevos rancheros. All of our food was good. They had variety of different kinds of milk substitutes like oat milk and almond milk. We would come back.

Really tasty breakfasts served here. I got the medicine scramble which comes with potatoes or fruit and side of cinnamon roll/toast/muffin. FYI the cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had. It's light and fluffy and warm. Your can taste the love baked into it. We'll definitely be back soon.

The food was amazing and the service was excellent! I got the waffle combo, I have no clue how they made that waffle so yummy... everything was just perfect. I noticed the locals were all getting cinnamon rolls so I of course had to try it! Ohhhh my goodness, it was amazing!

Sadly, our breakfast experience here was not as common as the positive reviews. It was just average, possibly on the side of below, if I had the option to rate it at 2 1/2 stars. We chose this as an alternative because our intended destination had an estimated one hour wait. 5 - crispy bacon and French fries 5 - our server was friendly and accommodating 3 1/2 - burger, big and cooked well but needed more seasoning 2 - when I see home fries on the menu, I think of flavorful potatoes cooked with onions and bell peppers. Theirs were just under seasoned potatoes chunks. Like the burger, they were cooked well with not much flavor. My bad for not asking what ingredients were in their definition of "home fries". 1 - waffle was thin, overpriced, and had no flavor. It compared to a frozen one. 1 - the lady running the place would not seat us although we were next because my son was parking his car, and my hubby was parking our motorcycle. With technology, I would have quicky texted/called them and gotten their order into the server, regardless of their physical presence. My guess is that highly rated reviews are from locals, who received a much more welcome than we did. With so many eateries in this area, we will not be back.
