The service was good, and the space is nice but we were disappointed by the food. Dumplings figure prominently, were just tepidly heated and tasted like any frozen variety available at Costco. The borscht was indifferent though the half slide of bread on top was good.

Overpriced, ran out of lamb, meat was super dry and tough and flavorless. Had high hopes for this place but it was an utter disappointment and I regret ever coming here. The restaurant is smaller and more cramped than any restaurant I've ever even seen.. they only have 3-4 workers on the floor and in the kitchen combined, hence the super slow and disappointing service to top off the bland meat I wouldn't even feed my dog..

Superb Mongolian dishes that ever tasted in this city, and also the customer service inside the place are too good.

My wife & I were very impressed with this place! I have not been to Mongolia, but have spent some time just outside its borders: I can attest this food brought back memories of that time. As the sign says when you walk in, everything is prepared from scratch, so there is a wait. We felt the wait was absolutely worth the quality.

Had a bad experience. Expensive first of all. You get only 5 buuz for $20. Took 40 minutes. No utensils for take outs. Would be nice to give it by default.

This place is the only thing I really miss being in Santa Cruz for. Just thinking of the food still makes me salivate like Pavlov ringing a bell. My favorite is the Lamb Riblets so juicy and tasty. The Buuz is amazing. Yes, the food is simple but that is the wonderful thing about it. Anyhow miss you guys and wish you the best. Hope if I ever make is through town you are still there.

I was sorely disappointed in the Beet Borscht. It was actually quite good except it was $16 and portrayed as a meal instead of just a bowl of soup. I was hungry and it literally had 3 little pieces of beef enough to be three very small bites. The most disappointing thing was that the wait person was not accommodating at all and told me I could pay extra to get some more meat. When I asked to speak with the owner, the wait person didn't want to cooperate until I insisted and then after 15 minutes when I was almost finished eating I was told the owner would talk with me if I walked back to the kitchen to talk with her. There was no interest in satisfying my needs. I most likely will not go back and won't recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. This seems like a high price to pay to lose a customer over a dollars worth of extra meat.

This place is AWESOME!! Veggie dumplings were just great, the carrot salad - potato salad - cabbage - super. I think this place is fairly new addition to the neighborhood and a great go to for comfort food - yummy!!

Excellent lamb riblets, carrot salad, and that mushroom sauce. Dumplings were interesting and ok. Looking forward to returning and trying other items.

Most authentic Mongolian Cuisine in town. The chef is excellent in plating every dish on the menu.

This is one of the top restaurants in Santa Cruz. Quality and service is unsurpassed, and it is my go to on a weekly basis. Never once had a bad experience and will never leave unsatisfied. Make sure to get all the different hot sauces and the mushroom sauce, you can't go wrong if you like spicy with a lot of flavor. Thank you guys so much for always being awesome!
