The veganized nachos were delicious!Has vegan cheese options (additional charge) and can customize some items for vegan options. if you want to customize to add more protein or add items, it adds up $.Server has said they can sub the meat, but I/they should have clarified how much each add on item was.Cool that they add a living wage tax.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian, have to modify for veganDietary restrictions: Ask about dietary

Perfect local Santa Cruz diner. The food and especially burgers are fantastic. The brisket sandwich will change your life and don’t pass on the jalapeños! 16 mostly local beers on tap and every brand of bourbon you can imagine. Service is most excellent as well. Don’t miss it!

I've been a long time patron of the ESE & wanted to share that in recent visits, the food, drinks and service just continue to improve! The upgraded bar & drink selection is fantastic (Skinny margarita with tajin rim is my fave), best wings in town and their burgers never disappoint! The outdoor seating is divine on a warm summer evening.....

We were visiting Santa Cruz and stopped in at East Side Eatery due to their gluten-free options. WOW! Unless a restaurant is a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, the gluten-free menu and offerings are an afterthought and quite disappointing typically. NOT SO with East Side Eatery! They have homemade gluten-free ciabatta-style bread for their burgers and some of the most delicious gf pizza I have eaten. It was very fresh, very intentional, and high-quality (local) ingredients. The service was stellar too! Our server was absolutely delightful and knowledgable regarding the menu and gf options. One of the best meals I have eaten out! THANK YOU, ESE!!!Dietary restrictions: They offer incredible gluten-free options! Homemade gf bread and pizza crusts! Absolutely delicious!

Pleasantly surprised by the lightness of the pizza, and the server was sassy but in a good and fun way. Place was packed but they accommodated us quickly. All around good experience.
We went here for the Santa Barbara Pizza. We had a string of bad pizza in the area and after several disappointments, we came upon this place. We wanted a secondary place besides woodstocks that was closer to pleasure point and where you could get slices. The Santa Barbara Pizza is absolutely divine and if you love Artichokes you will love this. 10/10 would recommend. Woodstocks and Pleasure Point Pizza have the absolute best pizza in the Capitola/Santa Cruz/Watsonville/Soquel area.

We’re semi-local and live in Monterey California. We come up to Capitola probably once a month and have walked by this place several times and have never tried it so we thought we’d try it yesterday. They were not busy. We were seated right away took about five minutes for the waitress to come by, and she just asked if we were ready to order. Seemed like we were bothering her. We ordered food and drinks. Unfortunately I spilled my drink and she walked by me two times and did not offer to help clean up. I actually went to the bathroom and got napkins and then my daughter went to the hostess to get more napkins. about 10 minutes later, she walked by and asked if I wanted another drink to which I replied no but my daughter insisted I got another, it was pretty full and she said she’d be back to clean up spill but she never came back, just to collect the bill. The pizza was fine. The sweet potato fries were lukewarm, the blackened chicken salad tasted like something made with taco seasoning from a plastic container you get from Costco. My husband did like the posole. Overall, I wish we had just walked by as we had done in the past, we spent over $100 there and had a bad experience and mediocre food. Oh and y’all need to do something about your acoustics. It was ridiculously loud in there and the restaurant wasn’t even at capacity.

I love eating at East Side Eatery, whether it's on the dog-friendly patio with Toby, or inside at the bar, it's a fantastic spot for a good meal with a fine cocktail.Dietary restrictions: This restaurant has plenty of gluten-free selections for those with celiac disease.

Awesome selection of Whiskey, great service and the food is great too! A must-see destination for whiskey lovers. Derrick was awesome to chat with and gave us some excellent recommendations. Traveled all the way from PA to try and will be back again if we ever have the opportunity.

Our second day in Santa Cruz and after a long 3 hour walk along the ocean front, we decided to stop for a quick snack before heading home. This place has a great terrace for hanging out, but it was full so we sat inside. Nice decor, 3 big screens showing sports. As we were not that hungry, we decided on the Clam Chowder. As Julia once said,"Mistake, big mistake, huge". We just about managed to get home before the floodgates opened. To be frank, I blame myself, as I never order seafood unless I´m in a seafood restaurant.
