Been coming here for over 20 years. Back then it used to be called Jalapenos. Still good, but options have changed, prices have gone up and choices are limited. It's still good, but for the prices, not nearly as good as it was in prior years. Hopefully things improve as I do still like this place quitr a bit.

Fantastic healthy find in midtown Santa Cruz. Organic Mexican food caught my eye. Most taqueria restaurants don’t have health and wellness in mind. Viva’s is the only Mexican restaurant that is forward thinking about what they are serving the community. I needed to find a place that will accommodate my need to have gluten free meals and this place has several to choose from and they are easy makes on the menu. I ordered the chicken enchilada plate. I am 100% satisfied with flavor, portion size and pricing. The staff was attentive and helpful. I would make the 3+ hour drive just to get this place again.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options. Plenty of fresh and organic ingredients and many veggie meals to pick from without needing to make alterations.Kid-friendliness: Safe and friendly kid seatingParking: Parking is hard to come by. Absolutely incredible food that leaves you feeling satisfied and not guilty at all thanks to the organic and all natural way they operate. You can taste the difference.They were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and patient. Patient because there’s so many great choices I couldn’t decide! I ended up with the Bistec Ranchero regular bowl. Fantastic! He offered some salsa and that just made it perfect. 100% will be back.

Clean, healthy, and fresh Mexican food! Today was my first time trying, and I got a regular chicken burrito. It came with black beans, rice, cabbage, cilantro, and seasoned chicken meat. I found that the burrito was quite dry, but that was fixed by adding some of their salsa. If I ordered a burrito again I would add sour cream or guacamole to it. Sadly, the tortilla chips were stale, and went straight into the garbage. I do like that they have whole wheat and spinach tortillas. The green salsa is delicious! Try it! Service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely come back to try a different menu item.

OMG The best clean tacos! I love chicken chicken mole and Vivas has the best ever! As good as mi mama’s and that says a lot. I am from East Los Angeles where there are many options. I am super picky. Any of their tacos are excellent! Go get you some tacos!

We enjoy eating out. Last night we visited this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a delightful experience there with fine food and a professional stuff and a professional chief cook. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we shall certainly come back very soon. We highly recommend.
