Kazunori is easily the most affordable, high quality sushi restaurant around. They’ve got a great selection of fresh fish at even better prices. With a super personal bar seating, you’re guaranteed to feel like a king.

The hand rolls are so good. We tried the salmon and the tuna rolls. They don’t have any spicy food. The price is great, no wonder why there is a huge lineup.

FEEL DON'T THINK

Neither “sushi” nor “sashimi” in “Japan”The taste itself is "maki sushi style" 60 points for a new productEven though it's not "sushi", everything is expensive and the cost performance is bad.I feel suspicious that Google's rating is too high.・A store that makes you think in many waysAll ingredients are seasoned paste with no fresh taste. How about calling this Japanese sushi roll? Why are customers lining up in Santa Monica who don't even know what real "maki sushi" is for products and services that would be unimaginable in Japan? As a Japanese person, I want people from overseas to understand that this is not ``sushi'' before going there.

I agreed with some of the low star reviews. That’s LA young people kind of Sushi. That’s not sushi to me n definitely not for that price. Plus they don’t take reservations. Waiting time 36-45mins.Go to a real traditional sushi place with real fish not fish paste. Sorry, not my type of food

The hand rolls were amazing. The seaweed wrap is crispy, the rice inside is warm and tender. Every bite is enjoyable. Hope to come back again and

Always a pleasure. The hand rolls are simple yet delicious. In terms of freshness, the fish didn't blow me away, but the overall quality of the rolls is high. It was about $28 for 5 hand rolls, and I felt like I needed one more to be satisfied. They have several locations and I will definitely be returning.

KazuNori is located about 10 min walk from the Santa Monica pier. Totally recommend coming here for a quick takeout lunch or even sit in if you have more time. Way better than any of the food at the pier. The service was friendly and fast, the chefs seem to be busy working away. Inside the interior is like a giant horseshoe shaped bar with the sushi chefs in the middle serving customers. We got takeout to enjoy at the beach. Got the to-go set. Food: The rice is perfectly cooked and flavored. The seaweed holds up against the rice and has great roasted and seaweed flavor too. Cucumber roll - basic but does the job. Crunchy fresh cucumber with sesame seeds on top. 3.5/5.Crab meat roll - has nice shredded crab meat in a sauce. 4/5.Bay scallop roll - enjoyed the fresh scallop flavor against the house made sauce - 4.5/5.Toro roll - amazing flavorful tuna - 5/5zEverything tasted super fresh!Price - 23$ all in (no tipping but 16% gratuity fee - I feel like this makes eating in a better idea but we were pressed for time)Summary: High quality sushi for a relatively reasonable price.

Kazunori has a great concept, it's all bar seating with set menus or order individually. The sushi is simple and fresh. The space is cool with a trendy ambiance. The service is fast and attentive. It's definitely a consistent and good alternative!

Ok so all of the KazuNori locations I've been to have the same consistency in the food which is in my opinion AMAZING! I don't love the seating at these places because it kills my sciatic pain in my leg but I guess that's what they want...in and out traffic. I will say the food was a 10 and the service at this location was a 5. The reason for my service score is because our server didn't connect with us at all. It was more of a cold experience from the chef and server than what we had at the DTLA location. With that being said I'd still come back because the food is incredible. One of my favorite places to eat sushi
