I'm a new resident to the neighborhood and after a visit here tonight, Bluefish is now on my list of local go-to spots. My partner and I shared a seaweed salad, a few kinds of nigiri, an albacore roll and a hamachi hand roll - all was fresh and generously portioned. I especially appreciate that for the hand roll they dice the fish and so it's much easier to eat and handle compared to what is usually a sashimi cut rolled up in a sheet of nori. Here's the thing one should know about Bluefish - the fish selection is pretty limited and standard, which could be a little boring for those wanting nigiri or sashimi. That said it's all very fresh and the nigiri is the right fish-to-rice ratio. If you really like rolls this is your place as they have a couple dozen options. Being a Tuesday evening the place was quiet with just a few tables - the service was attentive and competent and the food came out quickly. The dark wood and warm lighting make it easy to forget you're in a strip mall next door to a CVS. I will definitely be back.

Just did a to go order, after leaving my hairstylist. It was my first time there, and I always wanted to try it, and I'm glad I did service was prompt and quick, she said to come back in 10 minutes. It was ready to go. After a quick CVS next-door shopping. Got the Giant crunchy roll, lots of crunch and huge. Tasted pretty darn good! See ya soon, by the way, the restaurant is very nice inside.

Greasy, soggy bad tempura First visit was disappointing ...tempura batter was heavy, undercooked and greasy. Other parts of bento box experience were good....but won't return anytime soon....not a great value for the $$

New go-to sushi place!! Our server was so sweet and attentive. We started with a crispy tuna rice appetizer and got a roll each- I made an avocado roll and added cream cheese and jalapeño. We also got a baked lion king roll. Great ambiance. Very clean!! Everything was delicious.

I love Bluefish Sushi and Grill. Great neighborhood spot in a strip mall. Lots of parking. First, it's very cute inside, interesting wood artwork. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is so so so good. The fish is always fresh. We last went there the other day for lunch and both my daughter and I got the bento boxes, they are a great deal for the price. I had the bento box with mixed tempura and spicy tuna roll. And we started with the Yummy Crispy Tuna appetizer. There's avocado, and tuna and a crust rice base, it's almost too good I could stop at that and be very happy. Our meal started with miso soup that was clearly freshly made, it wasn't supper cloudy like ones that aren't fresh. Then the bento box came with salad and rice along with what we picked. Everything was fresh and tasted so good and there is so much , we actually took the leftovers for dinner later and it was still great. I highly recommend this place.

Had only sushi. Spicy tuna roll was good. The couple we ate with mentioned they had previously gotten the love boat, and they thought it was well worth the price. All the other sushi rolls tasted good (the more expensive ones were prettier), and although a bit pricey, the price is fair for Santa Rosa.Didn't have any non-sushi, and next time I come, I'll likely get sushi again.
