Walked in to three ladies sitting down and talking while eating. No one was at the counter. The sign showing what food was available was in cardboard. A cardboard sign was next to it written in sharpie said “CASH ONLY”. I stood there and the ladies started talking to me in Spanish while eating. I said I don’t speak Spanish. Still sitting down and eating she pointed at the cardboard menu and said “what do you want”.I felt like I was interrupting a family dinner and this was not a restaurant. I walked out. Unreal this place is ran like this

Might be the yummiest carnitas torta I've ever had. Super soft bread, stacked with carnitas, tomato, avocado, a little lettuce, and Salvadoran pickled veggies (curtido), then smothered in chili relleno sauce. Soo good. Food coma lasted two hours afterward.

First of all to the patrons that think this restaurant is expensive for its quality, it is not. Try buying 4 dollar mini tacos somewhere else now THATS expensive. 2.89? Get outta here. The asada, pastor and lengua tacos are to die for. Havent tried anything else, but when youre either 1) very hungry 2) craving tacos or 3) have the munchies, this is a good spot if youre in the area. The salsa for the chips is bomb - the green one is at least. Be careful with the red because its a lil spicy.

Under new ownership apparently. Worst tacos ever. No chips, and the tacos were so salty they were inedible. Like all you tasted was salt. Hope it improves because we just thew out $20+ dollars worth of food

Food was delicious. We had the Super Burrito Ranchero. Food was tasty, fresh and authentic. Service was great.

Think about it!

Authentic Mexican food and great service. Everything, and I mean everything is made from scratch! Yummy ?

Absolutely delish!!! My husband loves the pastor tacos and I love the carne asada super burrito. Fast, efficient service, great portions and fair pricing. Also they have fantastic salsas. 10/10 recommend

We've started getting take-out from Taqueria Mendoza during The COVID Years and have yet to be disappointed. The burritos as massive and well assembled; they come with an eye-watering range of salsas (including one that literally will make your eyes water). The taco salad (OK, I'm a gringa) is wonderful and loaded. The sopes and tacos are lovely. And the service is efficient, cheerful, and bilingual (see note above about "gringa"). If you want a candlelight-and-linen-nappery place, go to one of the Starks' places. If you want really good Mexican food for a fair price, to to Taqueria Mendoza.

Great food and always have great customer service only if they can get your order right more often they would be a 5 star.

I've been to this taqueria a few times now and have not had a consistent experience in regards to the food. The first time I went it was not very memorable and hadn't been back for about a year until my wife said we should give 'em another try.The second time was actually a very good food experience. The tacos were excellent and the super burrito was absolutely huge and stuffed with really fresh ingredients. I usually substitute refried beans for whole pintos and they did so with no problem. The third time was about a month later and this visit was based upon my last experience. Well, this was the most disappointing of all visits. The tacos were very small compared to the other visits and compared to comparable taquerias as well, but the price was still as if they were much bigger. The super burrito was much smaller this time and was missing a substantial amount of Carne Asada. They were not accommodating of the bean substitution this time either.I had Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos and they had great flavor, just small for the price. The service all three times was very good, we had to wait a few minutes for our food but that's not a problem when everything is prepared to order. There was a strange hand written sign taped to the menu board saying "Prices may vary". Not sure what that means. Can they charge what they want when they want??If you need to adjust prices on a regular basis, do so but don't have fixed prices on a menu board then a taped hand written sign saying that I may be charged something different. It feels like if they are having a bad day in the till, they can charge me more to make up for it AND skimp on the product. We may try them again but with all the great taquerias in the immediate area, they have been downgraded.Based on my last experience, I'd give them one star but I gave three due to having a great experience and a fine experience as well.Go and make up your own mind.If you like my reviews, hit the "Thumbs Up"!!Wanna see more places that I go, things that I eat, and stuff that I do??Then...Follow and Share@WhatsEatingMoTwitter - IG - PodcastOur Podcast is on hiatus and will return soon.
