If you want to find a truly Italian experience in the middle of Sonoma County; this is it. I’ve never had better food or service anywhere else and I travel a lot for work! Fantastic family atmosphere, and the food and service are better than anywhere else! I eat there every single time I’m in my hometown.

A taste of North Beach in Bennett Valley. Never had a bad meal there and Ricardo treats everyone who comes in like a long lost family member.

Amazing experience eating at Trattoria Cattaneo. One of my friends wanted some great Italian food so I took a drive from Emeryville. Everything was excellent and the portions were large. I can eat quite a bit and I had to have a box to go! Riccardo Cattaneo was a great host and I will definitely be back!

They made a brown butter pancetta carbonara around six years ago that has never left my mind. The best dish I have ever had that absolutely know else has made or attempted. You have officially ruined me. Genius I tell you!

I this is the most authentic Italian restaurant. The food is a lot . Do not over order food. It is a lot. This feels like the real Italy.

This review is a little overdue. We had our son's rehearsal dinner here at the beginning of August. We had called the restaurant a full year ahead of time. Spoke back-and-forth with Julie about the menu. She was very accommodating and helpful. Together, we came up with a great menu with multiple options for the whole party. There was around 35 to 40 people in the end.We were able to show up a little early before dinner and put up decorations. They were very open to letting us put up what we wanted. The dinner did not feel rushed. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Everyone enjoyed all the wonderful food. All in all, we were very happy with our choice for a rehearsal dinner. When we come back to Santa Rosa, we will be coming back to visit this restaurant. Many thanks to Julie and Riccardo for a great evening.

Man I love this place! I love the down-home vibe. Lots of regulars that routinely stop by and say hi to the people in the kitchen, definitely a family vibe. We came here early before a show for dinner, and I astounded my friend by actually consuming an entire plate of pasta with an appetizer as he is consistently teasing me that I eat like a bird. I I beg to disagree: I just love good food, and this definitely qualifies. I can't wait to go back.

This place gets four stars for service, generous wine pours and generous servings of food.Honestly, the quality of the food has gone downhill in the last two years. Their seafood pasta is still very good, but the size of the seafood is much smaller. The ambience is down to earth and convivial, especially when the owner is there to visit your table. it appears that if the owner likes you, you get special treatment and attention, some thing that is simply a habit with Italians, (no slur intended; my family is part Italian).Prices are still quite reasonable here--a genuine, bonus! It therefore get quite noisy around 6 PM onward as many people enjoy the wines and food.

Saw some amazing reviews for this place so we were very disappointed that our visit wasn't the best. The restaurant is cute and quaint. Lots of seating and has a pretty cozy vibe. Seated quickly and the staff were nice, however it did take a while to get any service. We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Linguini Carbonara, and Calamari Fritti. To start off the calamari was delicious. Crispy and chewy. A good portion size for an appetizer too! The linguini carbonara was pretty decent. It had a good flavor and the noodles were cooked well. However the chicken parmigiana was not good. The chicken was eh and the marinara sauce was just okay. Overall, we were not that impressed and left disappointed since we wanted to like it so bad! Maybe we caught them on a bad day but I don't think we will be returning.

This reminds me of an Italian Cheers bar. Excellent food on plastic plates. Very good local wine. My only issue is they need to imp their bread. It's important to me and this was average at best.
