This is a cute and fun little place that we stopped in for lunch. My girlfriend wanted the egg salad and I wanted the chicken salad, but they were out of both. This seems to be a theme in Shaver lake as this was not the first time we ran into this. Seems to be the price you pay for the quaint town this is. My girlfriend got the tuna salad and I got the roast beef sandwich. They were both well made and done so with care. We enjoyed them both and I liked the side of carrots. With that care, be prepared to wait, but enjoy the maps on the wall. Fun to look at and the woman running the place was super nice.

The absolute best savory crepe I've ever had and I have been known to plan travel around great crepes. Tasty, crisp fringe, buttery and light! Yum!

So, we were wanting to eat breakfast before our horseback riding trail. This was the only place that was open early. Service was nice but they were soooooooooooo slow. They literally brought out one item at a time. This included drinks. It took 20 minutes to bring out orange juice. Then maybe 10 minutes later my daughter's store bought blueberry muffin, 20 minute later my BLT sandwich (sad sandwich), 7 minutes later my husband's croissant breakfast sandwich. We had to wait for each of us to get our meal before we ate. So we can eat together. After we were close to being done, they brought out my daughter's Paradise smoothie. I've learn that before I come to Shaver Lake, I need to eat breakfast at home first. There was one older lady who took the orders and 3 kids standing around making food, serving food?? I feel like the kids are running the businesses here in town. This is the 1st place out of three restaurants we've visited today that has been terrible! And there aren't many restaurants here! They bathroom was clean at least... you have to ask for the key.

We originally came to this cafe for gelato and were told they were completely out. We opted for crepes and Italian sodas instead. The Italian soda really hit the spot since it was a hot day, highly recommend. The crepes were also good, I had the lemon cheesecake and my husband had the peanut butter banana. It was really nice sitting on the patio and enjoying the mountain air while we ate. Everything we had seemed good and left us with a desire to return, but after that night, never again. My husband and I both became violently ill 5-6 hours after eating here. I'm assuming food poisoning from poorly stored product. This was the only place we ate all afternoon, so it was the only place that would have made us both sick. I was up literally all night vomiting, and being 7 months pregnant at the time, it is not a night I will forget sometime soon. My husband and I had to take turns being sick in our little rental cabin. It literally ruined our entire trip as we had to head home early so I could see a doctor. If you ever have to drive down a mountain with food poisoning, may God be with you.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The woman working was extremely rude. Wish I would have read and trusted the reviews before walking in there. It wasn't about the wait time, we were happy to wait, she flat out didn't want our business. And to add to this, we needed 2 coffees and 2 hot chocolates. Not a huge order. Sad, because this is a cute cafe and wanted to support it but never again will I step foot in that place. Horrible customer service.
Doesn't look like much but the parking is awesome because there's plenty of it. We came here for breakfast last Saturday and I was disappointed. The credit card machine was broken and the lady behind the counter was a bit stressed which your customers should never be able to tell. She was a bit rude too. She just yells out to us all in line "cash only at the moment". I also got to witness she accidentally took the persons in front of me change or handed they wrong change. She obviously wasn't thinking clearly. This place has so much potential but needs a revamp. The outdoor sitting area needs to be expended and do something about the wasps that don't let you eat in peace. The food was alright and nothing special. Why not ask your customers if they want their bread toasted for their sandwiches? I would offer fresh OG. I'm sure it would sell. Cute small business.

Pictures are deceiving, food was all microwaved and likely from the grocery store. Crepe batter not ready which was disappointing. Staff unfriendly and unkind, slow service. Did not and would not return.

I saw a bit of low ratings, but I had a very good experience. Sure, did I have to wait, yes, but it was not that long. After all, they got slammed, and they have a crew of THREE people, and a small kitchen. I think they did what they could that was possible. Our wait was about 15 minutes. I had the Sausage Croissant (with avocado) and it was really yummy. The coffee is pretty good as well. The seating is outside and low key, and for a Sunday morning, it was quite enjoyable.
