After our Station of the Cross in Mater Dolorosa, we walked in to have dinner in Yui. All the food we ordered were great, especially the salmon collar. The place was full, but they still accomodate us. Customer service was great.

Good sushi we've sat at omasake one time which was cool different sushi cuts and it was great kind of $$$ but the quality was good...we came back a few months later and sat at a table service started great food was good and i wanted to give 4 stars for thenoverall experience until there was a bone in our simple yellow tail cut roll then we had to wait kind of a long time for our other sushi to come as we ordered but it was a long wait for the size of sushi place. Be prepared to wait in your dishesh at least 15-20mins in betwen which was crazy to me. Not sure if we'll come back for a 3rd try or not.

Can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this sushi spot. Sushi and dishes are on point! It's fresh and creative!Service is prompt and polite. The decor is clean, traditional Japanese. There's a small outdoor area. Would definitely be going back. Next time, I want to try their omakase.

We didn’t make a reservation but arrived shortly after opening and didn’t have a wait for a table. We had excellent service and the food was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the mix of sushi and izakaya options.Parking: There is easy, free parking behind the restaurant.

Best sushi I've had in a long time! Loved the variety of rolls. The ingredients were soooo fresh and the presentation was top tier! I want to return ASAP.

Must try! Best sushi in town, authentic and delicious! Small place hard to get in cause of limited space.

Had a great omikase meal for my birthday with my wife. The sushi chef was very knowledgeable and explained where the fish was actually from the map of Japan he had on the counter. He took the time to keep explaining as the restaurant got busy. The amount of food we got for the set price we chose was more then enough. I will go back again.

My wife and I only live a block away from Yui but we'd be happy to drive up to an hour to get dine here! The freshest sushi, mouthwatering appetizers (such as their kushiyaki) and even their authentic miso soup make it completely irresistible for us to dine here often. Highly recommended. An easy 5 Stars.

Discovered this gem in quaint, cute area in Sierra Madre. We ordered both types of omakase--sushi only and sushi+appetizer and both were delicious. The food and fish is high quality and some of our favorites were the goldeneye snapper, Spanish mackerel, and kampachi. The restaurant is small but they also offer outdoor seating, which is nice as the area and view was pleasant. Service is great and little wait on a Sunday evening.

Always the best food, service, ambience. Be sure to make A reservation so you won't be disappointed.

Amazing food! So unique and delicious. We had the Hamachi Cilantro, Salmon Yuzu and Asian Roll. The Hamachi and Asian roll were OUTSTANDING. Servers were very attentive. Small area for inside seating so definitely make a reservation. We would definitely come back!

Little gem in sierra madre! Delicious sushi, friendly waitstaff, and cozy ambiance, will definitely be returning for more! Couldn't get enough of their sashimi and sushi, specifically the fatty tuna roll. They were very accommodating when I asked for space for my stroller (and baby). Love this spot

Went above and beyond tonight to allow someone unable to sit to enjoy their amazing food... Thank you again for your amazing hospitality.

Ordered omakase on a Sunday and it really felt like we were served everything that was going bad in the fridge. Although we didn't finish, the waitress didn't even ask if anything was wrong and just brought the bill. Terrible experience.

Fish was good. Not the place to go to sit at the sushi bar. Bit small and awkward. Quaint location. Bathroom is inconvenient as you have to exit the restaurant.
